  • Window Pane and this song were good things back in 1972 for this old hippy fuck yeah!!!

  • I love that bassline!!!!!

  • Man, I love this song!!!

  • it seems to me the spirit of the 70s didnt actually go away from society until sometime in the mid to late 80s. you still had lawn parties where a couple dozen teenagers were crashed out over a keg or two and smoke wafted freely under bleachers at the game and the cars were still around lookin sharp. if somebody lit a doobie up under the bleachers today somebody would call the cops from the cell phone and scream child endangerment! what happened? how can we get it back? where did we go?

  • Saw Funk live in 1971-72 in Boston Garden. Was pure magic. This song was all over the radio. The garden will always remember that night.I know I will.Magic!

  • This,my friends,is real music. I love the 70's!!!!

  • I wish they still made music like this...

  • It's Johhny's basement shooting pool listening to this song after school....thats been 40 years ago. What happened?

  • I haven't heard some of these songs for 40 yrs. Hearin' 'em now makes me feel young and old! Forgot how good GFR is! Kinda gives you a helluva rush! Luv it!

  • Me too ! god where are are my tapes(8-track ) yeah! ohio for me!

  • anyone that does not like this is an idiot to me....... just saying.. :~))

  • Man, I love YouTube & the people who post this music from my past.

I had this album on 8-track cassette, 7th grade, 1972, 13 years old, living in New Orleans. I'd leave it playing in the 8-track player when I'd go to sleep at night and it would play all night. But, listening to this music again makes me happy but sad at the same time as I'm now 51.

Well, I think I search up Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon for another trip down memory lane.

  • @LongviewTxHorn this is a great song to fall asleep to.

  • @LongviewTxHorn

I agree 100%. The mustic was tough, but you can understand ever word! No cussing, no cop killing, no rapping! Floyd, GFR, CCR, the Guess Who.... those were the days

  • @LongviewTxHorn - i agree completely! I love youtube and all the great music from my past, same era as yours, and the richness it adds to my memories of hanging with friends down in houston, well and all the stuff that went along with growing up in the 70's lol.

  • @LongviewTxHorn I know what you mean. Im now 56. this music is like finding a time capsule, or a portal that takes you back in time. When I listen to this music, I can see my old friends i knew at the time and all the old feelins come up also.

  • Yeah, desde los primeros acordes se que se trata de los maestros del Grand Funk, para conocimiento de los rockers de las nuevas generaciones...¡Ahì se les queda de tarea!

  • incombustible canción, siempre vital, una maravilla; 5*****

  • What is so great about this song is the combination of orchestra, drums, vocals, and guitar. This is what music is all about

  • Thank you for uploading this song. Have a good one.

  • nice bass in this song

  • love it.

i like the bass in this song, too.

  • What can i say, sextraordinary Grand Funk Railroad

  • listen to the song closer to the sun by slightly stoopid. similar background guitar playing and similar name :p

  • great guitars all around.

  • I remember me and all my Marine Corps brothers in our barracks back in 1980 at Camp Lejuene NC all kicking back and this jam blaring on the boombox. Seems like yesterday and we were all together and here it is almost 30 years later and I wonder how everything is with them all. We would never be together like that again.Little slices of one's life that go bye so fast.

  • So true. I bought this album in the 60's and listened to this song and sang along. So long ago. Many good memories.

  • @LosAngeleno1959 My EX husband was a Marine and I was there with him in base housing in 1980....and to run onto your comment among millions of videos and comments on the Net. Serendipity or what????
