@DethklawExodus I was already told by the assistant principal that once they renovate (which may be this summer), I can have many of the old fire alarm and bell system parts. You may be able to have one of those Federal horns yourself!
@DethklawExodus The alarms (and pull stations) now must be ADA (Americans w/Disabilities Act) compliant, which means they must now be visible, as well as audible...and the pull stations must be more easily accessible and made easier to pull. (Many of the older pulls were often coded and rather difficult to pull).

@GandSAfan That's right; but usually older buildings can follow grandfather clauses unless they are renovated. The new alarm system should have strobes, and pull stations mounted at a more accessible level, in addition to newer smoke detectors and a full sprinkler system
@Fishstixs11 I'm not saying the name of the school here due to privacy reasons. I do not have the bells, chimes or alarms yet (I probably will after this upcoming summer, as the school should be renovated by then.)
@Corvette1658 Oh, they never renovated this summer, due to budget cuts. They should next summer though. They still have the old bells and fire alarm system (but they told me I can keep some of the old stuff after the renovation!)
@whelenvortexr4 I don't know; I believe they are getting a voice-evac system, probably Notifier (they usually use the SpectrAlert Advance speaker/strobes), as another school near the local train station had a similar upgrade last year
@whelenvortexr4 Maybe because Notifier and System Sensor are both owned by Honeywell?
Usually I just nowadays see Wheelock signals used by more cheaper companies like Siemens or Radionics or something like that; the Honeywell companies prefer System Sensor or Gentex, EST and Simplex use their own signals, and I think ESL now uses System Sensor signals too.
@whelenvortexr4 They shouldn't; they are still a primary player in the fire alarm industry. I still see several newer Fire-Lite or Notifier systems use Wheelock signals. Simplex sometimes uses Wheelock signals (typically weatherproof or industrial-signaling stuff), but they don't as often these days now that Simplex makes their own weatherproof horn/strobes and remote strobes.
@wileyk209zback I have to admit that System Sensor makes some awesome detectors. I saw Wheelocks with some Honeywell Systems. Like at this place where I go to this religious retreat, they have Wheelock 7002ts, I was in this gift shop that had a Fire Lite System with Wheelock AS, I saw Wheelock Exceders in new schools with a Notifier System, a mall I got to has some Wheelock Devices with a Notifier, and Wheelocks and System Sensors are used by most companies.
@whelenvortexr4 Yeah; my old college is FULL of System Sensor smoke detectors (mostly i3s and the "intelligent" 2251s, as well as some 2451T models.) They also began using SpectrAlert Advance horn/strobes now when replacing old alarms (previously they used VA4 horn/strobes.)
@wileyk209zback Wheelock, System Sensor, and Gentex play an important role in mass notification. I'm friends with an FCI/Gamewell Alarm Installer. He told me they installed Wheelock Exceder Horn Strobes in this high rise.
I hate those old balls at my old preschool they had old balls and the fire alarms that they had was wheelluck 7002t it was a old simans fire alarm system.
