I have no problem with people training with straps. I wouldn't recommend it for cleans though. It's dangerous, because you end up in a position where it's hard to get free, and if you fall back, you risk landing on your elbows with the weight in your hands. It's happened to some of the best in the US. Google Zach Krych. For snatches, though, straps are perfectly appropriate. They're harder on your hands due to the angle, and it's safer, because of your arm position.

Nice form, nice control. The controlled descent of the bar at the end of the lift is part of good form. So many of the guys with videos of cleans seem to think it's macho to drop the bar at the end. In reality, it means that they have completed one less rep than they think they have.
Would love to but they cost money. Most everything in the gym was bought used. If I ever find a used set of bumpers I will probably pick them up as long as the price is right.
the floor is concrete but I have 3/4 inch foam insulation glued between two peices of 3/4 inch plywood. It also has a sheet of 1/2 inch rubber mat all topped off with carpet. I don't routinly drop weights but my floor is potected when it happens.
@27whitelights do those help your vertical more then hang snatch would ? also what about push press do you recccomend push press for vertical jump improvment please reply thanks
