Also of interest, Reliant B.S.A and Bond were the big three 3 wheeler makes. Reliant were the most practical. Reliant bought out the B.S.A. and Bond, but discontinued the Bond Bug as it was not as stable as the Reliant Regal. When designed, the Robin's and Realto's (And the previous Regals were as stable as Robins) had to be able to swerve in and out of traffic cones at 70mph. Some 4 wheelers couldn't do that! Reliant had a world first engine wise. First aluminium engine in production.
@treadit Reliant never bought out BSA,but bought Bond out in 1969.Reliant designed and built the Bond Bug themselves after discontinuing the Bond built and designed 875.And it was launched in 1970,using the Bond name.Regals were not as stable as Robins due to their larger 13" wheels and higer centre of gravity, hence the change to 10" wheels on the Bug and Robin. If you try and swerve at 70mph in a Reliant you will end up in trouble lol.
The first trying to start is either a Regal or a Rebel. At 0.58 its a Reliant Rebel (4 wheeled version of the Regal - few were sold as you needed a car licence and most of Reliants market depended oh 3 wheelers as you can ride on a motorbike licence).
At 1.10 its an early Robin. At 1.32 its a Reliant Fox. Rare vehicle. Made as a lightweight pickup for farm work, to go over lightweight bridges where Land Rovers would be too heavy. I once saw a camper version. 2.30 is a Regal Supervan 2?
Hi from france, i really love to ear the sound of her little 4 cylinder :) and i like the look of the regal supervan, she's more "sexy" than the robin, Mr Bean probably agree with me... :D
and i want to know one thing... how many HP have her motor ? and it's a 600 or 750 cc ?
i can imagine rodney trotter saying ''come on ill clean you if you start''
