i agree with vampireknight1003, the 'weird' people i would say are cyber punk. i do not say i am 'goth' i say i am gothic. a love of beautiful music. vampires are associated with gothic music because of bram stokers dracula. which is the best gothic love story ever created. wouldn't it be nice to have such a love that runs so deep and so long? a reason why 'deep' people can appreciate the darker side.

You dont need to dress like a goth or to speak or to try to look like a goth to be gothic. Dressing like a 'goth' seems to me like people are just advertising it either for attention or other reasons. Which is similar with 'Emo's' as well they simply dress like their always sad etc but inside they just do it purely for attention. I'm saying this because I hope that everything that gothic stands for doesnt become commercialized in a bid for attention like emo has. If that makes any sence at all

I agree, but the sad thing is, that "gothic fashion" has already been commercialized. But are you saying, that everyone who dresses obviously gothlike is just looking for attention? If so, I think thats not true. Sure, there are many kids who think it's so cool to be all black and scary. But I am pretty sure too, that there are also many people who just LOVE the dark fashion itself, and that they're doing it for themselves, not to get attention.

Most goths wear dark clothing because, as iwo said, they like to wear that type of clothing. I dress for the most part in black clothing and am certainly not out to get attention.
