Everyone please stop with the "why is band X not on the list" argument. It has been done to death everywhere on the Internet. Many of these bands aren't underrated, at least not at first sight. They are, however, 'pushed aside' by the more 'mainstream' thrash acts such as Testament, Sepultura, Metallica, Slayer, etc.

I don't think fame is something that is naturally present/inherent in any particular band (more or less something that is deserved). As I've found in recent years, It has to do less with the musical content of the band, and more with the lyrical content, label(s), and activity/coverage within the media. Just how I (currently) see it.

i don't know ...finding your way into the mainstream (or selling out) it's not for anyone. Many metal bands like Celtic Frost and Grave Digger tried and failed miserably. I guess bands like Slayer and Testament are destined to stick with their sound, like ac/dc is stuck with theirs. otherwise they lose the die hard fan base, which is a more assured profit than some pop oriented extravaganza. Its all about management, after all, like it or not, all of them are in the music industry business

DD is impossible to find as original issue on Under One Flag. Time does not heal was their most successful album and it's still easy to get as original issue. Leave Scars is harder to get because it didn't sold well and the production is not as good as it is on TDNH. I'm not sure if Leave Scars is worth the money the production is weak. I'm not a big fan of Dark Angel, but I like Time does not heal, though.

Metallica = the most sellout faggots of all time but Megadeth is a great band. Yeah maybe almost all Thrash is underated from exeption of the 4, pantera, Sodom, Vader, Overkill and Testament. But IMO that's because they are in a middle point, they are not hot or cold, they are warm. They are not heavy enought for some people (Death, Black) and they are not Melodic enought for the other people (Power, etc.) BTW Municipal Waste fucking owns
