Also, the discs fire way further then the darts, and you can bounce them off of walls. So technically, they are superior. (Did you know, the first Nerf brand gun ever fired plastic balls, and was essentially just a tube.)

@ConservativeBrony97 you posted on mine with a question as to what keeps the dart from falling out, I believe one of those three pieces featured in that slide in my writeup is the slide lock, you can try it but dont quote me on this I am not sure weather or not it is because quite frankly I really see no problem with the slide lock being in the blaster, but you could experiment taking some of those parts out and testing

At 3:44 Drac finds a piece that he doesn't know what it does. It is found at the front of the Vigilon and a screw screws into it, kinda useless, it only helps hold the front on.

HA...when I was opening this blaster up to fix it, I couldn't figure out WHERE the safety pegs even went, so I just scraped them....works pretty good now, and I can pull the trigger at any time! defiantly a solid deal.

also it shoots further. and got it for free because it broke on its owner. Hated sliding out the spring chamber....really annoyed me for 15 minutes X_X

Also there is a power increase mod, Watch the video where they mod the Praxis, you can basically do the same thing. though it's a tad hard to put back together. Also that part holds the front on, (near the top) Its not necessary though you might want to put it back in.

What about moving the spring on the firing launch arm to get more power? Like drilling a hole farther back and then hooking the spring through the new hole. You may have to strengthen the hole area to keep it from cracking/breaking but it may work. Just an idea.

I'm not very familiar with springs, even less so with torsion types, but I can imagine that you could easily double-up the number of torsion springs on the same mechanism, or at least find something additional that would also fit. Any additional torque should provide additional power (provided no other weight changed, any additional spring tension would increase speed, especially without being an air pistol blaster).

The piece at 3:38 is what the front cover screws into. In the orientation you have your Vigilon currently, it sits in the top left corner. There is a piece on the right side of the shell under the jam release that blocks the sled from moving, you can remove that as well.

I have usefull info for modding this blaster: there is a tortion spring in the deploy if im not mistaken, it is pretty strong, its located on the barrel attachment peice that can only be seen fully be opening the blaster.

I have a nitron and paraxis, thy both seem to launch like this. When you prime the praxis the string/wire/spring pulls back the two circular gears back and places the disc inbetween them (A bit infront, towards the barrel). Then of course, when you pull the trigger, the two circular gears push together forcing the disc out. How do we mod this? By making the force between the gears and the disc bigger. Ahhh friction.

Have you tried adding a bit of precompression to the spring? You might be able to put on massive amounts of E-tape to make the spring a tighter fit in it's slot, adding precompression.

@Zortwilable Why? It looks fine but the shell might be left flimsy as it's not a round body shape. It looks like there would be room for a 1.25" PT, but getting the trigger to work might be annoying. I don't think it would make a good sidearm due to the size, and a poor primary as well. Best of luck.

@Zortwilable Sounds like a plan I suppose, if you superglue the slide to the shell you can get a little extra room for the PT if needed. I'm not seeing the appeal cosmetically, perhaps if you left the front orange bit it would blend better. Perhaps use the clip area for an RSCB? It would help negate the massive unused space that would look horrid if cut out.

The dry-fire and trigger "restrictor" thing, was there so you could tell when you had no discs left in your clip without having to physically count as you shot. that way you can concentrate on blasting and know when your gun stops, your out of discs and need to reload. now you will just keep shooting until you notice nothings coming out...

Wasnt there a small space between the spring and the ammo cage you could have cut out and made it look like it had a grip? ( the spring didnt seem to go all the way straight back.) Nothing to do with performance but maybe it'd look cool? you could even slap on a stock to it. Glue/epoxy or some shize like that. Just ideas!

I actually came up with a good idea to increase the power: Take apart the piece that holds the torsion spring mechanism and rotate the white "sled" piece 360 degrees around (it will be hard to do). That should greatly increase the power so padding might be necessary.

Well personally I think these guns will just have to be cosmetic guns. They already get amazing ranges as is and have features that dart guns can't compete with, so I think removing the locks and painting them is the way to go with these.

Oh, another idea. You know those springs that snap back to a short length after you stretch them? You could connect those from the dart-slinger to the front part of the shell, adding some power. This could also be done with rubber bands or even magnets.

If you think about it, this blaster just "pushes" the disks out to fire them. So, any "barrel" just adds friction; there's no balance of thrust and friction like in a dart gun. Maybe shortening the rectangular barrel would increase range.

Now that I think about it, magnet could also be used for a speedloader/storage methold, small magnet mind you put into the disk, except the weight might be too much and hurt ranges, it all depends. And again, have a good day, or as FPSRussia would say have nice day.

The disk would slow the sled slightly when you fire because of the extra weight, not much though. Also regaurding ranges, couldn't you do the equivilant to streching the

spring, like making it so it's further from it's rest position. But that can be pain to do, so of you want to try that. Also the guy(s) who said try to make a speed loader, I agree. You could possibly use 1 1/2 in. PVC or use some kind of tape or low adhesion bonder. Hope that might give you some ideas. Have a good day Drac.
