hdmi, use your ps3 for gaming and hd movies etc for your s sound mini stereo to rca adapter , easy to back up everything , access music/ films/ photos from your network hdd simple and a hell of a lot of money saved , prehaps even get a cheap media centre remote mandriva / ubuntu and most distros are simple to configure to get it to work, plenty of cool software for it opensource

part 1 : sweet but how about recommend that old pc ,underclock it to silence and improve media performance, installing mandriva 2009.1 with lxde ,buy a cheap wireless mouse keyboard, save more money get a external network hard drive , usb wireless device for pc , who needs hdmi ,just use vga to your tv its good enough for watching movies, or if your lucky dvi to
