I constantly say my bike has a mind of his own. And yes, it is a he. he has good and bad days. It loves 40mph, it loves country lanes in the valleys and is quite partial of town driving. But some days- It hates me, and wants me to come off at every slice of mud on the road. It is my steel horse but always wants to be riding in sludge!
I love my bikes and feel happy to see them, let alone ride them.
They are very much like friends. I miss the ones I used to have and feel guilty when I can't look after one of my babies properly. They look after me so I should be able to return the favour.
I think they're a physical extension of that part of our personalities that we get into discussions with when we think no one is listening or watching. :)
i agree whole hardly when i first got my honda vfr750 three months after getting it a group of us went to the famous deals gap before i rode the dragon i had a talk with her didnt give it a name yet but she took me on a fun ride and been rideing her ever since and ive owned a ton of bikes over the years but this one defently fits me best of all her name now is dragonness cheers great vid
Definatly agree with this, I've named all my bikes and been sad to see each one go. Keep getting mad looks whenever I watch one of your videos with my headphones on, singing along to your intro ;)
i am much the same, my bike is my girlfriend.. i ride her when i want lol, if there is something wrong unlike the human kind she tells me instead of keeping me guessing..the best part about her though...she never complains :)
Hell Yehhh it can! My bike is my best friend, I go everywhere with it and she wont stab me in the back like real friends would and she won't tell people my dirty secrets. If my bike would get stolen I'd prob cry and be sad as if a friend/family died. Yeah you can always buy a new motorcycle if that happens but you don't have that click like you did with a bike you've been riding for years ^^
dude. I totally think so. when I bought my er6f back off the dealer I kept saying to everyone it's like an old friend coming home. I almost wanted to hug it.
Interesting topic, I get where you're coming from. My bike likes to be treated like a lady, but ridden like a biker-chick when she's in the mood. It's funny though, nearly 10 years on, and I still remember the feel of my NSR125, as you will probably remember your Ninja in years to come. Some things do stick with you.
A bike is much like shagging a female co-worker...
Mount her before work, ignore her while your at work, ride her silly to relieve the frustrations of the day, and lock her in a cold dark garage at night chained up... just me?
