Wow! I saw John Legend performing this on the Jool's Holland Show. I must admit I have never payed much attention to his music, but when heard this cover version I was blown away by his voice which encapsulated the vibe perfectly but also the bassline, it's beautiful.

@NicGonzalez1 same here - after his first album I kinda lost interest but this collaboration is def working. His smooth vocals and The Roots melodies (thought they were a hip hop band someone correct me if I'm wrong) go together like hand in glove

Lincolns version is better.This is amazing thought.could be considered just as good as the original for many people.The recording job the roots/legend did is just amazing from the drums to the vocals. Questlove shines as a producer/drummer on this song and not enough could be said about the rest of the roots and legend. Thumbs up to lincoln for writing this gem and to these guys for doing a great cover
