I watch SNL all the time..but what were the "comedy" writers thinking? It was a bad show all around with some corny ass skits. The crashing plane skit? Boring. The russian bride with the joke, I guess, being that the ugly girl was only 10 dollars less than Megan BUT the guy was having a hard time deciding so he kept going on and on and on about the 10 dollars less crap and then you had the "freakin" skit which, I guess, they thought it would be funny to use the word "freakin" over and over.

SNL was great during the early 90s until 96 i would say. Then when Will came in with Tina they started doing all and I mean !all! "POLITICAL" stuff which IMO was boring and unwatachable. I noticed that they cut most of that garbage but sadly the show is still kinda garbage.

Even though I didn't come around until 88, I still think that it stopped being funny around 85. It's just freakin stupid now. I believe they got rid of madTV for that reason, it's not funny. I thought the last 8 years or so since Tina Fey became head writer and performers like Will Ferrell and the rest came on (i.e. real Sketch comedy ppl) that these years have rivalled the first 5. And if you re-view your "golden years" there were always less-than-good sketches. (90s -- more standups doing sketches, thus not as good sketches). It comes with being live. And, SNL is scrutinized more than ever. That doesn't make writing any easier. Nor does the weight of 32 years.
