A cup is 250ml more or less. It's really 237ml but you round up to make it easier. So 4 cups = 1 litre. Tablespoon is 15ml, teaspoon is 5ml.

For weights, 1kg = 2.2 pounds (easy enough to do that in your head).

Farenheit is still a fairly unusual measurement of temperature though, Celsius is a lot easier.
