I'm surprised there were no suspensions enforced by NASCAR to either Edwards or Keselowski after this finish. I love the "boys, have at it" motto that's in today's NASCAR, but where do you draw the line? If I was enforcing the suspensions, both Edwards and Keselowski would be suspended for the next Nationwide and Sprint Cup races.

@RUINERx117 I agree. This was a dumb move even considering the fact that I like Carl Edwards. These drivers aren't used to being able to get payback on the track like the old drivers were. They need to learn that certain things are only appropriate and necessary at times when people's lives won't be at risk. Most of the time this means you can really only bump and run somebody. It's very rare that you can SAFELY spin somebody out. It's funny that all this has happened between my two favorites

I do wish Nascar didn't slap drivers on the wrist for making contact, close racing and contact is the hallmark of oval racing. However it was unfortunate that Carl had to celebrate like he earned it.
Keselowski may have deserved to have been moved out of the way, but not wrecked in front of the entire field. What little respect I had for Carl after Atlanta is gone now.
@zemurph They race on narrow slicks and small rear wings it's quite a handful not to go around in every corner because there's tremendous oversteer and since drivers are in slipstreams the whole race it affects their handling constantly. Oval track is more focused on Driver vs. Driver strategies where racing Circuits is more focused on Driver vs. Track. I'm a huge fan of F1 and it is beautiful to watch but most races are hit or miss on the amount of suspense and theres little overtaking at times

I'm surprised there were no suspensions enforced by NASCAR to either Edwards or Keselowski after this finish. I love the "boys, have at it" motto that's in today's NASCAR, but where do you draw the line? If I was enforcing the suspensions, both Edwards and Keselowski would be suspended for the next Nationwide and Sprint Cup races.

Because spinning somebody on a straight, with barriers either side, infront of the entire field, racing to the line, is a safe time to just "spin him around." So yes, it is Carl's fault. All because of some good hard racing?!

why do people say that was uncalled for? Atlanta was uncalled for. Brad tried to take Carl out going into turn 2 on the final lap, racing for the win. Edwards returned the favor on turn 4. It's all about who you're racing. It doesn't take a lot to know how Brad races people. Just watch 4 or 5 videos. So what's the big deal? It's just stupid. This is horseshit. Carl should have been parked for intentionally wrecking someone in front of the whole field. Brad gave him a nudge, that's just tough racing on the last lap, but you don't wreck them coming back. Carl is a talented driver, but he races like a dick, and he's dangerous. He is easily my least favorite driver.

@RUINERx117 I agree. This was a dumb move even considering the fact that I like Carl Edwards. These drivers aren't used to being able to get payback on the track like the old drivers were. They need to learn that certain things are only appropriate and necessary at times when people's lives won't be at risk. Most of the time this means you can really only bump and run somebody. It's very rare that you can SAFELY spin somebody out. It's funny that all this has happened between my two favorites

@moreland1414 you have a really good point here. its almost like dale knew how to do it though, ya know? he could move a guy out of the way and win without dumping them, and destroying 10 other cars for no reason. although he did from time to time. nascar hurt itself on this though, from about 2002 on, rough racing etc was really looked down on (harvick vs biffle, gordon vs kennseth) now they say its ok, and no one, including competiors, really expects it.

@zemurph They race on narrow slicks and small rear wings it's quite a handful not to go around in every corner because there's tremendous oversteer and since drivers are in slipstreams the whole race it affects their handling constantly. Oval track is more focused on Driver vs. Driver strategies where racing Circuits is more focused on Driver vs. Track. I'm a huge fan of F1 and it is beautiful to watch but most races are hit or miss on the amount of suspense and theres little overtaking at times

Edwards definitely caused this crash. At end of turn 4 he move over to change the line and turned the rear of Keselowski. Not really a fair move.
Funny thing is: there is a hood or cockpit cam in nearly every car. but none shown in the replay. it would definitley show the fault of Edwards.
