  • "No, I added that late - ......"FUCK YOU!

  • the ereaders are for ppl who want to save 50$ and buy a book @ 9.99 and have a laptop but dont want to have to take it everywhere. Mostly students who dont need to take the laptop everywhere but need the books @ a classroom. =] horray for all the stupid ppl who didnt think of that and just realized this isnt so pointless. Besides, who wants to have every Ishit that's come out? I dont need an expencive phone I just want my cheap books! lol

  • These are the most pointless devices. Ipod and Iphones, etc can handle this. Why have some giant and fairly expensive product with only one use?

  • @jeffmagic32 why would people buy specific products for specific tasks? cos they offer features unspecific products don't. e-readers have larger screens, they have no backlight therefore facilitating the reading, they have battery measured in days/weeks and no just hours, etcetera, if you like reading, you'll of course appreciate these features, if you read a book per year, you'll be pleased using the iphone.

  • @SuperBigChina

the product may sell for a year or two, but will soon be replaced by the far more functional ipad/iphone type devices.

  • @jeffmagic32 people who read a lot will get a huge benefit from an e-reader, they will save money by downloading but not buying books, they won't have to carry around pounds and pounds of books, they won't need to hold in their hands those heavy books while reading, they are all benefits for the actual reader, but again, if you don't read that much, you'll not get the meaning of an e-reader. They are expensive, that's true, but real books are too.

  • @SuperBigChina No backlight? Wow. That is such a big downside.

  • @jeffmagic32 becuase many people do not like i pods, i phones, ect... and they are not expensive for what you buy

  • why would I want any of that proprietary crap?

Just give me a monochrome screen with an SD card reader. I don't want to buy books off of amazon.

  • Can't wait till the Liberal Rag LA Times goes out of business.

  • lol

    hope they read that comment

  • i came up on that small sony one. stoopid man turned around n i snatched it! lol. i have no use of it.

  • all of this crap is pointless. Everyone has a palm pre or iphone which has internet, so you can almost anything online. everyone has a wireless lap top. you can read everything online. everyone has a ipod touch, you can read everything online.

wtf would i need a kindle? if i want to read a book i will cary the book.

  • well it's not for you then..So shut it!!

  • @redskins2k learn to speak english

  • are you retarded? not everyone has an iPhone or a Pre.... those are two of the top phones in the world, most people don't have one of them

  • i saw someone with that kindle DX using it as a bible

  • i'd rather carry iphone than that huge device which totaly look weird to me
