  • Great tips. Thanks!

  • Shoes indoors....

    interesting.....

    May I ask why?

Sorry if it seems rude but I see no point in having shoes on inside the house

  • I'm from Finland and I wouldn't dare to wear shoes and walk around someones home. Taking your shoes of at the door when you have come inside is the norm here. Everyone has a little entry room just for leaving your shoes and usually the coat too. And you never see allover carpets - I don't understand how they keep those things clean in America...especially with their shoes on :D Must be a lot of work!

  • Love it, a place for everything and everything in it's place. This is my motto1 There is no excuse for a messy home, ever!!! xx

  • I hope I can do those suggestions because my house is rarely clean. It's so frustrating.

  • Love it Marnie! I am motivated to get up and de-clutter, and maybe do a bit of cleaning. So happy I found this channel.

    xoxo

  • I've never gone to someone's house and left my shoes on or vise versa. I can't believe people would wear shoes inside their home. That sounds filthy!

  • Hi Marnie, in Canada we always take our shoes off in homes. That saves us from tons on dirt and dust. I have a basket in my front closet with slippers for guests. We all walk around the house with slippers. I clean my house in stages. I do one floor at a time. Monday is middle floor, Tuesday top floor and wed basement. Then the rest of the week I maintain by swiftering the floors. I always clean the kitchen after meals and do a mini vac after meals. I do laundry 2-3 times a week. I keep a spray

  • ur advices make me being better woman!

  • In Canada we don't wear shoes inside people's houses either! I guess we have dirtier weather though.

  • Take your shoe off when you enter the house.

  • ur husband z so lucky ur so beautiful & tidy & organized, i sooooo wanna be like u!!!!

im engaged now & i wanna learn from u

  • kyaaa! i change the bedding on fridays, too! coz saturday is laundry day. sunday is ironing day...

  • yay, asian thing! leave ur footwear by the door pls

  • I have a 4 month old who NEVER takes naps, seemingly. Do you have any tips on keeping a clean house with a baby? How did it work for you when your kids were itty bitty?

  • @naturalbeautyCO Keeping a clean house was super easy when they were babies-they didn't move or make a mess! Just have a place for all the toys, and that should make your life a lot easier.

  • @naturalbeautyCO Do you have a sling, baby wrap or sometype of baby carrier? It frees up your hands to clean.

  • Been looking for ways to prevent dust...thanks!!

  • Hi,

i loved this video!! I will try to do those things daily and weekly!! What i find really helpful, before you go to sleep, do fife little things that make you room/house look cleaner (put something to its place...) :)

  • u r so pretty

  • Arg! Wish I could get my home office to look as clean as your house does. Unfortuantely, it's all over the place, papers hanging out of everywhere. I'm really hoping to win the Pimp my Cube contest (google it, it's like pimp my ride but for an office) and get a renovation so it's worth cleaning like this!

  • @sandynewt305 Start throwing stuff out-it helps A LOT!!

  • I love your response to your husband, to hire a cleaner if he wants it 'all cleaned on the same day' etc. As a single mum I think that it's a great tip to tell myself! If I expect it 'all clean on the same day I should pay for a cleaner'... and that I can't do 8 hours straight of cleaning either. Very inspirational video, I'm so grateful you took the time to make this. Excellent presentation. I like your unscripted style, very easy to hear someone who is approachable and friendly.

  • @tomorrowkiddo Thank you! Don't be too hard on yourself-your kids want to be with you, not watch you kill yourself cleaning all the time!

  • You are an inspiration. Thanks for the vid.

  • @Mrsmakemeup I use a vacuum and paper towels, plus a mop for the floor. That's about it!

  • I loved this =) I don't have kids, but I got married n moved in with husband last month (we have a lot of stuff so still unpacking) and I haven't found my cleaning routine yet, so this was really helpful

  • Your house is very nice! One thing that makes your house look clean is all the white in it! good job decorating

  • Y do u have two microwaves

  • Could you do some fastmotion/timelapse videos of you cooking/cleaning? :)

  • @150one no

  • Love this video! Im so lazy with dinner dishes at night.. but I should definitely get into the routine of just clearing them away .

  • @nkariem1 If your kids are old enough and you trust them to not break your dishes, get them to help!

  • Great Video ! & ur House is Cute, I LoVe Shabby Shic. My Daughter moved out so it's just me & Hubby & my 16 Yr old Son. YES Still Gross to Clean the Bathrooms. LoL

I too LoVe Clean Sheets on Friday Nights. It's like Awwwwh theendvof the Work Week Time to Relax. Thx for the Vid

  • Some great tips. I do what I call a clean sweep every night and put things away. I can't stand clutter. I wipe my bathroom counter down in the morning with a baby wipe my sink to. I used to go barefoot in my home until I became diabetic. It is a no no for diabetics to be barefoot. Cutting our feet or banging our toes can lead to big healing issues. I think iis rude to force people to take of their shoes. My sister has deformed toes and nails and would be embarrassed for anyone to see them.

  • Hi, Marnie. Great video! I have a question: can you recommend toilet paper brands that are the least likely to cause dust fall-out, similar to the (Viva?) paper towels you use? Thanks!

  • @puppylove1 I'm a big fan of Charmin, but I never really noticed whether or not they have dust fall out. I generally use TP for its intended purpose. :P

  • @lifewithgoldgirl Many thanks, I'll try the Charmin, as my bathroom always seems to be covered in micro specks of white TP.

  • Another good cleaning tip: When cleaning (i.e., major cleaning), always start from the top of the room (ceiling fans, light fixtures, etc) and work your way down (saving the floor for last).

  • Totally agree about making the beds. I am the bed making queen. I have been to known to make the bed at friend's houses when I walk in and see an un-made bed and my husband has made fun of me for making the bed at hotels when we stay in them:)

  • Very good tips, Marnie! It's funny we all think our Mothers and Grandmothers taught us all the house keeping tips we would need. But there were a couple of things those I adore...left out! And I really appreciate hearing how other Mom's do it. Thanks again. Really found it useful.

  • I got my family in the habit of taking their shoes off at the front door or outside. Most everyone I know now follows that rule. Except my in-laws. Lol. :)

I also had to install a file shelf onto my fridge to keep the kids stuff , along with a dry erase board. I also limit stuffed animals. My pediatrician said they collect to much dust and it's bad for my girls allergies. So only a few and they do get washed frequently.

  • Here is a question, You know the swirled part and the bottom half of the outside of the toilet, (like the landing part) OMG it drives me crazy to clean that because it seems no matter what I do I just keep spreading hair or lint etc. What is the best cleaner or method to clean that lower half of the outside of the toilet? I've tried about everything you can think of.

  • @TheBrunetteswin Just keep changing your paper towel as you go. I don't think there's a good way to clean a toilet!

  • Off subject, but I am loving your nails. Did you get shelac? beautiful fall color for you.

  • @TheBrunetteswin Thanks-no, they're just regular nail polish!

  • Oh Marnie! I feel like you made this video just for me ;) I thank you for the Great tips. I have the hardest with the clutter papers which drives me NUTS! Especially when the kids bring home paper from school and/or Junk mail! I will definitely putting some of your tips into practice. Thanks, Wendy

  • Hi Marnie!

Ok so I really enjoyed your video. I think you are completely right. I have a 3 bedroom house and it's just my daughter and I. But I agree with you it's the clutter! As of late, I've started finding baskets where I can toss papers, mail, etc instead of having spread over my counter tops and dining room table. It's really helped. Making the bed is another true statement. Thanks Marnie for your time! xoxo Kelly

  • great tips! I would love to see what you do with the plethora of kids papers that come home. Not all of the ones that can be thrown out, but the papers you want to keep (hand prints, special tests with great grades, award certificates etc...) I have some collected from when my daughter was in kindergarten and first grade (she is now in 5th), I have no idea what to do with them - any suggestions? Thanks :)

  • @SCBarbi Go through them again-I try to do that every few years. I realized that a lot of the papers I kept weren't that sentimental. I keep them in under the bed plastic boxes.

  • I've lived mostly in apartments and that vent you showed us... are only in hallways in the apartments. It's up to the manager/ landlord if they want to turn the vents on for circulation and if they decide to clean it and all that.

  • Marnie, I never understood why white ppl wore shoes in the house. I'm asian and we always take em off. I thought cuz your at home and its casual. I came to realize more and more people don't wear shoes in the house like majority houses of people i've been to from my church (90% are white). I guess it's getting more common now.

  • Hi! I agree with everything you said. I also find it SO GROSS when I touch a hand towel in the bathroom that looks like it hasn't been changed in weeks! I make it a point to change the hand towel everyday 2-3 days. BTW, can you recommend a quick/stick vac? Thanks!

  • @miasmomma1 I like the one made by Shark!

  • In Germany no one takes off their shoes. It drives me crazy! I always struggle when people come, try to leave some out at the door so they can SEE them.UUUgggh.I realy like the Idea of those air filters. They are sadly not put in, in houses here. If the scedule has been busy, certain things have to wait, comin home to a tidy house though makes all the difference! I had to giggle, when you mentioned the coloured blocks. It never worked for me ha ha.I think this chanel could go a long way Marnie! ;-)

  • Love the video marnie! Omg i cannot wait to try the dip recipee. You should so make a cooking videos for these sort of appetizers :)

  • When you suggested taking off shoes to keep the house cleaner it sort of made me laugh. I live in Canada (Ontario) and it is considered rude to wear your shoes in anyone's house(for anything.. even dinner parties). I have family in the United States and when we go to visit, people always know we're from Canada because we take our shoes off when entering someone's house.

P.S. Great video. You're always fun to watch.

  • Thanks Marnie!!

I just love this channel! Glad you do these for us! Thank you.

  • my favorite Giada recipe is her rotini type casserole dish. It's rotini, mozzarella, parm, bell peppers, butter and onions. OMG it's soooooooooooo good!

  • I have been trying to get my hubby to take his shoes off for 6 yrs now, but he just won't cooperate! However, I now have slacked ~ myself, 2 yr old, and 4 yr old are doing it too. Time to get the carpets cleaned and try again. I even bought my husband "house shoes" so he could do the whole Mr Rodgers thing, but still no luck (good thing he is cute)! Do you change your air filters or does your hub? If you do, would it be strange to do a quick tut? I need to take it over in our house! Thanks!

  • @fancy29 My husband is supposed to do it, but because he travels so much, I do it from time to time. If I can figure out how to set up the camera, I'd be happy to show you!

  • I am too no shoe policy inside the house , but my husband who I have been telling/training for 5yrs still keep his shoes arghhh! and now some guest that comes over take their shoes inside..some1 told me before that I am not their parent to ask them to take off their shoes..I am so ready to put a no shoe sign at our door..is that extreme?

  • @charmimu I think a sign is a little much. I mean, how many guests really come over? As for your husband, tell him no fun stuff if he doesn't start taking off his shoes! :)

  • Where is your TV???

  • @queenieshum In the armoire!

  • hhahahaa...I am Asian...so I take off my shoe every time when i walk in to anyone home. That is just like a normal thing to me!!!

  • Great topic. Look forward to more videos. One of the habits I have adopted is that if I bring in one new thing, no matter what it is, one or two items have to go. Either trash or charity. I keep a charity bag in my laundry room & entry hall closet. I take them to the womens crisis shelter (they love makeup too since most have left their homes with nothing). The hubs is a bit of a pack rat so it's always a work in progress. Easier to keeps thing tidy when you only keep the items you use.

  • i think this might be a canadian thing but we never keep our shoes on when we go into houses...any other canadians do this too? this is just from my personal experience with friends and family.

  • @mintyenn Another Canadian said the same thing!

  • My triplet boys just turned 13, they got more responsibilities - a daily list of things to get done. Each has their own day to bring me laundry. I return clean things to them, they hang and fold and put away. They have a day to strip their beds and days to dust, vacuum and clean their bathrooms. They make beds, feed the dogs, do homework, practice instruments, pick up clutter and take out trash daily. I rarely have to go upstairs! More time for me to keep the main parts of the house clean! Yay!

  • What about your boys rooms? Have they grown up to be quite organized too?

  • @ambularofamber Not yet...

  • We would get along fabulously...lol. I have 2 boys and a husband. I have baskets/crates everywhere too. Your house is lovely. It is has an uncluttered, crisp/clean, "Hamptons" style feel to it...specifically...THAT chair in your family room. Great pattern!...thanks for these great tips! =)

  • @ambularofamber Thank you-I love the Hamptons look!

  • Some great tips Marnie, especially about the clutter (clutter only breeds more clutter!) and I can TOTALLY relate to cleaning bathrooms with a houseful of boys (shudder). So it sounds like you take care of the inside of the home, but do your boys clean their own rooms? Any tips for that? I have two boys, ages 5 and 10, and it is a struggle to get them to keep it tidy. And does your husband contribute, or is his role to take care of the outside, like lawn care, maintenance, repairs, etc?

  • @sharisp2 My kids are total slobs, but so was I at that age. My husband is very neat and always puts his things away, but he doesn't do any guy things around the house. I do any minor repairs and we hire people to do all the other stuff.

  • "Place for everything and everything in its place" Anthea Turner - my cleaning guru :)

  • love this video, the best thing i did was to limit the toys in our downstairs family room. thanks for the info!

  • ok question... I also have the no shoe policy in the house/carpet. We mainly come in and out the kitchen which is tile so that's not a big deal but then all the kids just kick there shoes off in the middle of the kitchen and let them lay GRRRRRRR. How do you keep shoes organized ???

  • @wishaskj Tell them where to put their shoes!

  • Hi Marnie thanks for the tips, I already apply some of them but my house never looks as neat as yours... 3 kids, way too many toys not enough storage those are my problems. I have a question do you have a formal living room and dining room, i'm in the process of buying a house and I like the idea of having those areas but how often I 'm going to use them, well you opinion on that please. Thanks again

  • @priscyore I do have a formal living and dining room, and we rarely use them. However, we turned the living room into more of a library, so the kids do sit in there and read. The dining room has turned into the homework table, but I do like to have it when we entertain.

  • Thank you for posting your white bean dip... I needed a recipe for a work football potluck and this is just what I needed which is something quick and easy and sounds great!! Thanks Marnie.... great video!!

  • In Norway nobody wears shoes inside the house and we see it as very rude to do so if you go to somebodys house.

  • Marni~ How about a vid on 'How to wear a cardigan' Love your vids

  • What program do you use to edit your videos?

  • @darbygirl03 WIndows Movie Maker

  • Random question, where did you buy this awesome doggy bed lol

  • @yvonneanne7 Frontgate!

  • great video, thanks for sharing your tips!

  • Thanks Marnie great tips!

  • Thanks for sharing what works for you Marnie. I appreciate your tips, and enjoyed your little impromptu tour! :)

  • Not having cluttered surface (even if it's decoration stuff) also helps me a lot with being motivated to clean in the first place! Nothing worse than having to pick up and dust countless knick-knack and wipe the surface below and put it back. Makes me not want to dust at all. If you can just go ahead and wipe something down, having to pick up only 2 items or so in the process makes it SO much easier.

  • Okay, so it's probably too early for me right now (not enough sleep and just having breakfast..!) but about the making people take their shoes off: you do make kids take theirs off and also grown-ups if it's a casual invitation, but not if it's a fancy thing? Did I get that right? Because you said you hate when people make you take your shoes off (at fancy things)and then give suggestions for how to make people take theirs off (slippers etc.) - geez, my brain is totally not working yet! Sorry :)

  • @xoxoLeony You got it right!

  • I love your videos! you always have great tips on this channel. Enjoy both channels very much =)

  • Baby steps is right! Thanks for making me feel better, though I am sure the rest of your house isn't much different than the ones on camera...clean! At least I am clean, but working on the "constantly neat" part! Thank you for the great tips! I love this! More to come please!:-)

  • Great tips Marnie! I like the recipe idea...looking forward to more!!

    Peg~

  • I'm a big fan of removing clutteer..really does make a room look clean! And makin the bed! You can have a tornado pass through a bedroom, but with a neatly made bed, it's not that bad :)

    Lots of <3, Angela

  • That was great! We have very similar cleaning routines and schedules. ;)

  • Thanks Loved the impromptu tour!......Do a whats in your frig video or whats in your pantry!! :)

  • @preservid No way-they're a mess! :)

  • That is Shark multiple surface portable cleaner! Sorry for all the typos!

  • @Eslater345 A steam cleaner is on my wish list! They look kind of fun, too!

  • Love that bean dip. I have served it a lot this summer. Also still loving my Smart Living steam mop and my Shark multiple service portable cleaner. I have convinced many friends to purchase them and love them too!

  • I do my tile floors with the Haan steam mop. It's a life saver.

  • OMG!!! I Have two BOYS and i hate that bathroom. I do the bathroom every other day!! If not!! Yuk!! LOL!! Yep changing of the sheet is on Saturday and the boys do there own beds!! They put all there clothes away them self. They need to learn!! Love this video thanks for sharing your ideas!!

  • You are super wife :) I just had the cleaning people come today. I stay up on the daily/ weekly maintainence but with a 2 year old and being pregnant I decided I needed a monthly deep cleaner. Nothing as nice as coming home to a clean house!

  • @123meaghanb You absolutely need the help! I'm tired just reading about your life!

  • I think you should just always take your shoes off when you go into someone's house - unless they tell you at the door to keep them off. I think it's INCREDIBLY rude when people come in to my house and assume that they can keep their shoes on! I grew up in a house where we had slippers for guests. :)

  • @fancyfaceb OK, let me clarify a little bit. Whenever I go to a friend's house, I ALWAYS take off my shoes right away, if it's just a casual visit kind of thing. However, when it's a formal occasion like a dinner party, cocktail party, birthday, etc, that involves invitations, I think it's rude on the part of the owner to ask guests to take off their shoes. In a formal setting, that's just weird!

  • Thanks for the helpful tips. I love these types of videos. Where do you buy your house decorations and what is you design inspiration?

  • @bb60605 I love Coastal Living magazine and Ballard Designs catalog. Between those two sources, I find a lot of inspiration for design. I buy a lot of things at Target, Walmart, Rooms to Go, Ballard Design, and Home Goods.

  • i completely agree about taking shoes off (in your own home) and i will take mine off usually when going into others homes (casual get togethers)

  • You have a beautiful house! Hi , it,s great to find someone on you tube that is my age and a mother/wife and interested in similar things to me. I find you more realistic to me then these girls that are in there early 20,s and no children! I subscribe to both your channels and really enjoy watching them .I find you funny as well as quite smart. Thanks for lightening my days up with your videos. Amanda from Australia.ps am trying your meatloaf recipe on Fri.

  • @20011Amanda Hi Amanda!! Thank you so much for subscribing to both channels! Those were some very nice things you said about me, so thank you again! Please let me know how your meatloaf turns out!

  • Great tips. I have been on a cleaning spree and I found this video very helpful.

  • I felt like cleaning after I watched this video, and my room is already clean. ^.^

  • OMG people, make the bed! especially if you are filming YT videos in front of it. My best advice is buy a roomba. They really work and from what I understand they make one for pet owners. In all honesty, I have a cleaning lady but in between visits the roomba is a lifesaver. My cleaning lady wasn't able to come for the last 3 weeks and again roomba saved me. They are expensive but a lot cheaper than a cleaning lady. The best place to buy is at bed bath & beyond because of the 20% coupon

  • @wanda12411 I wonder what my dogs would do to a Roomba? That could be a funny video. Having an unmade bed in the background of a YT video makes me crazy! I can't watch videos that have unkempt rooms in the background. Maybe I'm a little OCD! :)

  • @lifewithgoldgirl I also hate watching unmade bed in the background but what really annoys me is underwear that is left behind. I really don't need and don't want to see another person's underwear (unless it belongs to someone in my close family). Yuck.

  • My cleaning routine is basically the same. My home just appears cleaner than what it truly is. If you don't get it dirty you ain't living in it.

  • I so agree my bed is the first thing I do every day I feel like my whole house is messed up if I don't.

  • My biggest issue is doggie hair. My Boston not too bad. My lab, crazy shedding. Thanks for the video.

  • @TheBTDEB Furminator!!

  • @lifewithgoldgirl Furminator? What is that. Enlighten me please. I have 2 dog that shed like crazy. I swear I can sweep/vacuum in the morning and by night there are hair balls and they grosses me out. NEVER believe that short haired dogs don't shed.

Thanks for all the great tips & the short house tour. I love your home it looks so comfy and peaceful.

PS. Since Tx. is having no rain could you please tell me how to stop ours I think we are about to be flooded AGAIN!

  • great tips, but i got tired when i imagined applying them, i guess it would become habit. i guess what is the tough part is to get everyone in on the project and see eye-to-eye on what you want clean to be. my husband wants immaculate, but he leaves otter pop clippings all over the counter and i promptly put them in his box. he says i leave everything out and everything has a place, but i feel like i don't have enought storage space....sigh. learning curve. thanks marnie, will give it a shot!

  • @123cetaphil Just try doing one thing at a time. Don't add anything new until the most recent addition feels comfortable. Also, like I said in the video, I don't always practice what I preach!! Just remember that I can control what you see and what you don't-notice I haven't taken you upstairs to see the boys' room! :)

  • I enjoyed this video.. I love seeing home related things. You have such a nice house Marnie. I totally agree with keeping counters etc clean. It makes a huge difference to the over all look.

    ~Jan.

  • Love these videos! Can't wait for more! :o)

  • Oh yeah...bathrooms and boys! Tell me about it! Oy!

    Great video Marnie!

ITA, clutter is the root of all messes!

I can't relax (physically or mentally) at the end of the day if I see stuff everywhere.

It's like bad energy that needs to go! :-)

    Keep those videos coming!

  • great video! these were quick and easy tips that are super helpful to everyone! :)

  • Tried your Meatloaf recipe. Real tasty. The brown sugar adds a nice sweetness to it. Everyone loved it. Bring on the recipes Marny.

  • @Francine131313 I think I will always include a recipe in the description box for this channel. It's fun!

  • @Francine131313 I made it too. So good!

  • I have a sign on my front door that says "Life is made of choices. Remove your shoes or scrub the floors." I like it because it delivers the message for me in a funny way. I also leave a pair of shoes by the door to send the message so I don't have to say anything. We just had a yard sale and I'm really enjoying the lack of clutter in the house. It makes a big difference!! XOXO Heidi

  • @jalapena2007 It's amazing what a difference taking off your shoes makes.

  • when we lived in an apt the air filter was changed every month or sooner i mean it would get so full it would blow dust out the sides...now living in a house the filters are in the attic and i wont be going up there i was disappointed it was in the attic as im obsessed with changing them...also we have laminate flooring now and when you walk on it with shoes on you can really see the dirt tracking in just amagine whats on the carpet that cant be seen...keeping things put up helps a ton..

  • I thought of something else! Do you have any tips for cleaning tile floors? My current method is vacuum, do a couple swipes around with a Swifter wet clothe, follow it up with a dry clothe. It gets almost everything, but I still end up finding grime on the floor and it's super annoying! haha

  • @JessKoeh88 I think washing it for real with a mop, hot water and vinegar is the best way. Your way works pretty well-maybe you only need to mop once a month.

  • great tips. i live alone but find that if i let things slide i feel less in control of everything else along with the mess. not a fun situation. it makes me want to run away and shop! thanks for sharing marnie...and i didn't get dizzy once.

  • My daughter is 11 and my son just turned 10--They make their beds, dust their rooms, window sills, vacuum, also I taught them years ago how to sort clothes and work the machines, which has been great because they have been a big help in the laundry dept--they even wash their own bed sheets weekly! Now that school is back in session, I do the bulk of the loads during the week but I think that they will be happy when they move out that their whites won't be pink :)

  • @lmmbchampion You are a good mom!!

  • You may enjoy having Canadians come visit your house...we all automatically take off our shoes in the house and think it's weird to keep them on. I always think of every public washroom those shoes have walked on! Gross thing to have all over your floors :S

  • @LydiaSfacefun I love Canadians! I haven't met a rude one yet!

  • This video was really helpful! I followed your advice from a previous video and started vacuuming my furniture (ie. tables, bookshelves, etc) and I am so glad I did. It really makes a huge difference. I have also moved my shopping day to the end of the week instead of the beginning so we don't run out of food by the weekend. Thanks for all your tips, Marnie. I really appreciate them.

  • @stephyarbrough I'm glad I could be of help!

  • Don't take this the wrong way, but I feel like this is more geared for a family where one parent doesn't work full-time. I honestly believe that the way to go if both parents work (and you can afford it) is to hire a cleaner to do the bulk of the work. My parents were much happier and more peaceful when they had this, and I remember how hard it was on my mother when we didn't.

  • @backliteyes Well, yes, that makes perfect sense. I think most of the people who requested this video were SAHM's like me. But, even if both parents work, it makes sense to have everyone make their beds, take off their shoes and wipe down the counters daily. Unless, of course, they have live-in help!

  • @backliteyes I can see how you would think that, but I don't think it's necessarily true. I work full time, as does my husband (he actually travels M-F) and we don't have help. My house is very similar in cleanliness to Marnie's, it often looks cleaner than it is, but I don't think anyone would ever say it is "dirty." You can keep a home and work. I promise :)

  • beautiful home ,helpful

  • the shoe thing reminds me of that sex and city episode where carrie's manolos were stolen when she took them off...

  • This video totally made me start analyzing my dirty floor haha. I will now need to clean it. My problem, is that I'll make a place for something but it won't get put back where it should go. It drives me crazy.

  • @JessKoeh88 If the kids (or husband) repeatedly don't put things away, stick them in a garbage bag and hide it. If they don't miss it, then get rid of it! If they do, remind them if they don't put things away, you will be throwing them away for real in the future! :)

  • love this video, My biggest struggle is laundry hate the whole proccess the washing drying folding putting away, I am a SAHM too, but with 2 adults and 3 kids I feel like I am always struggling with mount washmore..... How do you conquer mount washmore?

  • @meadowblossoms I hate it, and I suck at getting it done quickly. Well, I do get it done, but getting it folded and put away is a whole 'nother story!!

  • @meadowblossoms I am the same way! I have 3 kids, and its just never ending. I always seem to get it all washed quickly, but our lives are so busy, that its the folding and putting it away that is the tough part!

  • OMG, I got so much shit from by best friend b/c I taught my boys to put their toys away in specific "bins" instead of just randomly throwing toys in whatever bin or basket was closest. I tend to be OCD about having a place for everything and everything in its place.

  • @dizzyjovi Your friend was probably jealous that you were a better mom then her! ;)

  • You definitely need to change the air filter in apartments too, so good advise for everyone. :)
