Thankyou, saw your comment about how you lost the HDV tape, but finally, someone who knows how to use this camera, a lot of people put fx1 tests up in 4:3 480p, So annoying, this footage is beautiful! I seriously want this camera so badly :)

right now, i am trying to make a tough decision, film with the FX-1 or a panasonic p2. The FX-1 is so much easier to handle and with color correction it almost looks as good as the picture from the p2. any ideas?

Beautiful video and a fitting requiem! I last hiked this area on a cloudy, misty day very similar to this in the spring of '09 when the Scotch Broom was about 6-10 feet tall. So close to home too. I will miss our little forest. :(

its an hd camera, and for snow/skate vids it is tough cuz the files are so HUGE. u like barely can make montages. otherwise a dope ass cam

yes but when using any camera in a cold environment be sure to have a big plastic bag(trash bag) with you because if you take it directly from the cold air to the warm air condensation can cause damage to the internal workings. Give it like 30 minutes to warm up in the bag then you can take it out

I simply created 2 keyframes on the color corrector filter and dialed in a different color scheme for each.
