Actually... If you read the Ocarina of Time manga and see the end of the game where Zelda reveals herself to Link, Zelda explains that Impa had "sealed the concience" of Zelda away.

Sheik is a girl. All Zelda did was to use chest wraps to hid her breasts and change her clothes. Their body types are very similar so any differences can be attributed to the different clothes she is wearing at the time. Why can't people accept the fact that she's a girl and move on!?!

She can change her hair, eyes, and clothes at the wave of her hand, so why not her gender? @heronero910 Sheik is Zelda pretending to be a man and the last member of the Sheikah clan, the same clan Impa (her protecter) was from, and was also Zelda's basis for her secret identity. She used this identity to re-enter the land of Hyrule without Ganondorf noticing, though he eventually realised later on, and also to help Link once he came of age to weild the Master Sword. That is who Zelda/Sheik is, so to shorten things up: Sheik is a girl, period...

The thing is you all seem to forget the fact that the Sheika are a race of ninjaesk beings. Its not impossible to change sex in a transformation. Also with Zelda's clearly impressive mastery of magic being able to sustain the required level of power is not even questionable. The fact is there that Sheik could be considered the war brought alter ego of Zelda put up yo make sure that she did not lose here mind to the chaos. Given the points that there styles and mere attitude to life is different

To be honest I wonder if sheik really did exist in the sheikah tribe and if zelda really did use his idenity just to protect herself. It could be possible that sheik was actually a member and he died a long time ago.

Second, yes, they were kidnapped, but later they were to contribute to the plot, fighting with the other warriors. Sheik is a girl. All Zelda did was to use chest wraps to hid her breasts and change her clothes. Their body types are very similar so any differences can be attributed to the different clothes she is wearing at the time. Why can't people accept the fact that she's a girl and move on!?!

I don't see why people find it so hard to believe that Zelda turns into a man when she's Sheik. First of all, she's magical. She can change her hair, eyes, and clothes at the wave of her hand, so why not her gender? Also, this is a Japanese game, and they have no qualms about gender-changing characters - it's almost a norm. See Ranma 1/2, Escaflowne, etc.

She used this identity to re-enter the land of Hyrule without Ganondorf noticing, though he eventually realised later on, and also to help Link once he came of age to weild the Master Sword. That is who Zelda/Sheik is, so to shorten things up: Sheik is a girl, period...
