What kind of a conference is it if a speaker has to ask the audience for 5 times if his microphone works, his video does not show up on the screen, and the record of the speech is so much low quality for a serious conference.

Just sort of devils advocate here, but would you consider a conference involving the president of the United States "serious". Ever seen some of George Bush's stuff. Guys throwing shoes at his head, struggling to pronounce basic words. People with nice streamlined glizt and glamorized presentations are usually the biggest bullshitters out there. But they're looked at as legit cause of their slick presentation. Just sayin. Information is information. everything else is irrelevant really.
