  • Run geekbench man! Get some test results

  • I wonder how my 2007 mbp 2.5ghz would fare?

  • You have to much stuff on the older model im assuming.

  • @Medullaboi Yeah the HD is about half full on the old one.

  • i got the macbook pro 2007 17 inch and its pretty fast it take 2 mins to start up

  • @tekreviews11 Just one reason I love these macs. I even have an old Power Mac G5 and its still quick to boot up.

  • @tekreviews11 what are the specs of yours?

  • porno music?

  • I love the look of the 2007 ones!

  • @lukesterh That was a classic look. I liked it way better than the current models. I'm with you on that!

  • @lukesterh Yeah but i like how there is black behind the macbook pro on the late 2011 ones it looks kool :D

  • Put an SSD in and It'll half your loading time.

  • Gigahertz! Not Gigahert!!! Please pronounce that correctly.

  • @MrJTYoung7 Oops.

  • Are you selling your old macbook ?

  • dude i hav a 07 2.16 ghz intel core 2 duo and it is as fast as the new macbook pro's

  • not sure if you're a graphic-heavy user, but do you find rendering times on adobe premier/after effects/final cut pro very fast?

  • @epictum I use Final Cut Pro, and compared to my 2007 Macbook Pro it's a little bit faster, although not that much faster.

  • @DaRiceCooka You're probably not going to see much difference until the programs are 64bit. As far as I know for now, they're 32bit. Also, rendering times are "said" to be slower on Mac in general. I don't know how accurate that is, but that's what I've seen. Please, don't think that I pretend to be an expert. It's just what I've noticed and read.

  • @Liquidsquares Good luck with it!

  • worth anti glare?

  • @randomrazr Yes, definitely. Originally I bought the 2007 with glossy because of its 'enhanced' colors. But I ended up hating the reflections all around the screen. I'd definitely go for the antiglare

  • @DaRiceCooka the glass screens on the unobodys loook so nice though. your sure? lol

  • @randomrazr Lol, the antiglare I have now I wouldnt trade it in for a glossy. And I actually like the look of the antiglare, I think the metal frame surrounding gives it a classic look

  • @DaRiceCooka ok i will get anti glare

i better not regret it! :p

one final question. the anti glare has the high res display. do u find texts and such hard to read since they will be smaller?

  • @randomrazr Sounds good! For me, I like the high-res, because I use alot of graphic intensive applications...and the occasional boot camp game. The texts are smaller but sharper. And my eyes are pretty good so it hasn't been an issue at all for me. This could be different for other people though if you have a hard time reading small text. Definitely go compare both at the apple store and see if it's a problem for you

  • unexspectable

  • @jonas9009 Lol true, who would've known
