  • I am Native American (Cherokee, Apache and Yaqui blood) and I think this is the most awesome thing I have ever seen!! The singing done in this video is SUPERB! I also gotta say that Maori people are some of the most beautiful people on this earth. We have to be strong as Native people no matter what continent or island, and keep hold of our culture...Wado (Thank you).

  • @hiakinproud hey check out holly smith bathe in the river for english version lol

  • @hiakinproud this is an annual competition it happens every 2 years!! the next 1 is in 2013 and all is welcome!! we are a proud nation and kapa haka is the thing we love to do the most!! if you could make the next it would be well worth it!! you get three days of this!!!

  • @hiakinproud - your people are beautiful too, our blood runs strong, we natives no matter what land we come from are all related and connected. HOLD STRONG TO YOUR CULTURE and share with the rest of us!

  • @hiakinproud its such a shame the maori i new zealand are such a bunch of whiners, recently they got offended by a personalized number plate 'maori' but yeah the whole philosophy is really interesting. for example when they have gatherings in maraes the men are always surrounding the women protecting them. its just a great culture. thanks alot anyway it means a lot to us kiwis lol

  • @MrFunymonkey I think you'll find many (both Maori and Pakeha) were offended at the blatantly racist comments against Maori on the trademe site where the plate was offered for sale. I didn't hear of anybody being offended about the plate itself.

  • @jaineynzed its a shame maori can be such whiners they really have set themselves up for lots of nz'rs to hate them

  • @MrFunymonkey "such whiners they really set themselves up for lots of nz'rs to hate them", wow that's just about the weakest justification for racism on the net.

  • @jaineynzed sorry i meant to specify it as the maori party, they wine so they can be financially better off most of the time. i am very proud to have our heritage don't get me wrong some maoris are just gold diggers

  • @MrFunymonkey I think you shud not apply it as Maori are the whiners but the actual group of people that are the whiners

  • @AnaruKoni well the maori party

  • @MrFunymonkey lol ahhh stop your fuckin whining ya whinging little biatch and go cook me some fuckin eggs lmaooooooo!!!!!!!

  • @hiakinproud kia ora... hello and thanks... this is powerful ...makes me proud too ,... kia kaha .. stay strong

  • @hiakinproud glad that our maori tanga (culture) is know world wide :D

  • @hiakinproud i agree! representing the indigenous of Borneo. we are all children of the land and we must stand strong together

  • @hiakinproud to my BROWN BROTHER! kiaora, welcome and Haere mai! we share the the same beliefs and love of OUR PEOPLE and LAND, I Tautoko that! we must never forget our roots, we must listen to our elders, their whakapapa ( bloodline), their Waiata (songs) their Knowledge. aroha mai! much love!

  • I think a change in Title should be on the card. When I saw the title, I was expecting to see Waihirere from the East Coast....

  • OMFG, this is the shit! mean as!! : )

  • Sorry for stating the obvious. Why be so PC about it? Freedom of speech works both ways. I think its a shame that this standard of health is acceptable among alot of Maori/Polynesian women. Have some pride in your appearance.

  • @d615d615 wow. straight forward aye? The thing about kapa haka is your not judged on your apperance eg. weight, ugliness. Its all about your mana and how strong your group is as one. no one is singled out.

  • @d615d615 and i suppose your in a 'acceptable' condition in terms of appearance huh? well i think your attitude leaves much to be desired.

  • @d615d615 don't jude love u have no right .....Where do u get of about maori and polyneisan .I'll correct u there its not the appearance that u worry about it the mana ,for that it seem to me u don't undertand da meaning ,Heart love what in the heart see dumb shit like ur self have no pride it not da looks or between ur legs its the mana an respect of our culture and people of NEW ZEALAND..Okay ...sign off lastest ...comment on the good or don't bother..

  • @nelio5672 Whatever.....the truth obviously hurts. Go out and live in the world. Then when you come home be honest. Dont play to the fiddle of the masses. That is the life of a sheep. I am an individual, and I am allowed to express my view.....just the same as you.

  • @nelio5672 you really don't make sense ,I think you should stop dribbling kaka yea dag your the only person i know that's full of kaka .True your allow to express your point a view ,but what others will think ? when they read your comment .So it seems to me you have a brain of a sheep love think about ......

  • Wow "Bathe by the River" Tumeke!

  • AWESOME...AND DA KOREROA I HAVE IS IT'S NOT WHAT'S ON THE OUTSIDE IT'S WHAT'S ON THE INSIDE THAT COUNTS
