My coach gave us this speech before a hockey game once, this has got to be one of the most motivational speeches out there.

honestly this describes horseback riding as well, and no one, NO ONE will ever understand that unless they know how difficult horseback riding really is. It's a game of inches, one half a stride too early or too late and you don't quite make it, one half a second too fast or too slow you don't quite clear it; and on the team of horse and rider, you might end up in Hell sometimes... but you always have no choice but to climb out and try again...
