  • What a cool chap! Could never understand why the Americans did not take to this, so much better than some of the stuff they sent over here. Anyone who could be so cool whilst driving a Hillman Imp gets my vote. Classic, underrated TV!

  • Richard Bradford's interview that's included in the DVD set is very frank and revealing. He doesn't pull any punches in describing what he did and didn't like about making the show.

  • Just got the man in a suitcase boxset as a christmas pressie, cant believe i only discovered this show lately,Braford is great actor,he deserved to make it big but sadly never did...

  • This is my favourite programme of all time. I was madly in love with the man in a suitcase.

  • stop mumbling...its tv ferchrisakes.......save it for stanislavski

  • Richard Bradford as Mc Gill was BRILLIANT he should have gone on to be one of the Greats!!! Hugely Underrated

  • What made this ITC so much better than crap like The Baron, is Richard Bradford, a method actor capable of showing McGill as a complex man negotiating a cynical and individualist response to betrayal by his country, and sometimes by his clients, with his naturally humane and sympathetic approach to people in trouble. And he's as cool as private eyes get!

  • @Drblooter99 did you swallow a dictionary?

  • @hazifantazi

No, but I often read one!

  • @Drblooter99 good for you.

  • @Drblooter99

With respect, The Baron is hardly "crap"

Man in a Suitcase and The Baron were both very much underrated and way ahead of their time...

  • I want to get a set of this show and post it, looks cool. Thanks for the hook.

  • Bought the itc box set and the Bradford interview excellent. Very honest how he got the role and this is a true classis. Itv should re run this series

  • He sticks to small boat, the title means?

  • This show and the Strange Report were both great series in 1968. Why didn't they catch on ?? They weren't Hollywood.

  • @gaspo218, "Strange Report" was Sir Anthony Quayle's only television series, though he appeared in a few television films and miniseries, most notably as Tom Bannister in "Q.B. VII".

  • Mc Gill (richard) was the coolest and smoothest and should have been the new James Dean or Brando, personally I think he was better than both. Loved him.
