@DarkStar00150 No, it's temporary. What happens, is you do it once, get 2 days, happens again, you get 2 days, you do it again, and it can last for up to a month. But it will always return to red ring.
I did something similar to mine. I stuck 2 q tips into the back, let the xbox overheat itself, took the 2 q tips out without removing the cords. then, the fans would spin in the back. then, turn it off and back on. this is what got me though. it worked, but after many times of doing it, it broke down again and also now has video errors with bright colors going around the screen. makes it hard to play games.
