You're batshit crazy. Albinos go through so much daily crap slapping on sunscreen to keep their skin protected from burning and cancer, then there's the issue of blindness in the eyes due to the lack of melanin. You are really thoughtless.
You may have to attend a teacher's meeting to educate them about albinism to get them to STOP telling kids falsehoods about it. I remember having teachers tell my classmates that albinism was anything but good; that creatures born with it are rejected by their own kind; that they are doomed to die young. As a kid, I left each lecture feeling that I would never be loved and that I was living with something terminal. My classmates treated me like a pariah.. As a parent, be proactive.
If your kids decide not to wear their glasses anymore, don't hound them. I have lived with albinism my whole life and have found my glasses offer me little help. Conventional forms of correction do very little to raise your visual acuity. At best, they can only enhance the acuity you already have. Make sure your teachers give your kids class notes and instruction to replace the instruction they routinely present from video appliances to the black board.
Your children are adorable. I had the lazy eye, wandering eye, growing up. I was teased and made fun of, and finally had it straightened when I was an adult. I was amazed at how much better my vision was because I grew up thinking there was 1 1/2 of everything. Children are children, and everyone deserves a chance to have a loving family. My daughter has albinism and I don't feel its a disability it is just another hurdle that she will overcome in life. These children are amazing and beautiful!
my little cousion has albinism and she can do anything that a able bodies kid can do infact at school shes helping a little girl in a wheelchair and their in main stream school and the kids in the video are adorable
There is a boy who runs cross country in our city with albinism and I always thought he was amazing to get out there with sunscreen smeered all over him and his hat and glasses. He probably got a college scholarship, I am glad somebody believed in him....parents, coach, school and friends. He stuck out like a sore thumb since high school runners are pretty much only allowed to wear their uniform, but it always looked like he loved every minute of it!
Very touching. I love your attitude toward albinism. Too often, people pity us or treat us as if we're going to break at the slightest challenge. Your children are very lucky to have a mom like you. I laughed so much at the wish to dip them in a vat of sunscreen. I wish I could do that to myself!

When I first saw albinos when I was little, I never thought they were any different. They spoke the same language and played just like we all did.
