I think it a great video. I have just started using a Contour camera on my cruiser. Not a HD which is a shame. I have posted six clips of the local roads on Y ou tube with dubbed music. Have been told I might be infringing copyrights etc, but to date they are still posted.
I want to get a HD camera to get clearer pictures but will have to wait a couple of months.
Not bad scenery for just outside my front door huh?
It's a bummer but this road is now closed because of the quakes. This section has all slipped and is unlikely to reopen. Such a shame, it was a fun bit of road ...
@JacekGrandV8 Ha Ha! Cześć Jacek! It does doesn't it? It's a good example of why having a really wide angle lens is a good idea for filming motorsports!
I'm not a fast rider at all and for most of this video I was cruising about 55-60kph but it got close to 100 going up the hill. Doesn't really look like it though, does it? :)
With the Gopro HD I have now it looks much better and you get a better feeling of speed. I have some recent videos on this bike that I'm still editing ... I love it!
@fillecool2 Yea, no choice really. The original sound was distorted because of too much wind so I put some music over the top. That's the only time I'll generally do that. Then Youtube got uppity about copyrights so I had to use one of their tracks and honestly, this was the best one! I really didn't want generic shit rock, thought at least this was different to most other bike video musics.
I'd forgotten about the music, I had to change it 'cause of a copyright thing ... Thought it'd be nice to have a bike video with something other than loud rock.
no we in america have real katanas like you guys, only thing is we hate the look of them, not sporty enough for us eventhough it is still a 750cc engine like the rest. the fairings are what we look for along with the size engines.
for all you wannabes out there, slapping a 'Katana' sticker on a 600(or 750)GSX doesnt make it a Katana. They made their name by being different as in the F & SE models, riding just another fully faired fridge with another sticker on it doesnt make it right ay ;).
google Suzuki Katana & youll see you guys only got the 'GSXR with a sticker' models as a sales gimmick, earlier models are REAL Kats that you guys didnt see much of (probably too stylish & tasteful for the USA market lol)
looks like a cool ride (thought it was in Welly for a minute, Im in Aucks), Ive just got a Pop-up like I had years ago. Difference being rather than trying to do 200 everywhere Im just enjoying the ride but I suppose thats maturity kicking in, shame others on here cant show the same.
Yes, racing is very fun but a nice relaxing cruise can be just as enjoyable. I'm ceartainly no racer, I've become quite accustomed to having all my limbs attached over the years ...
Have you noticed how many of these there are going through Trademe recently? And the prices some've been fetching ...
Which year popup is yours? '84 or '85 (gold or silver frame)?
mines a silver frame '86, shame coz I wanted a gold frame like before but so many are on TM but many are 'different' colours & IMO takes away from the lines & shape. Mines not as tidy as Id like but she's strong & reliable & for the right price I couldnt resist. The young guys at work cant believe its over 20 years old & years ago Id get the 'looks like a spaceship' comment but these days its still turning heads.
They only made these for two years, '84 (gold) and '85 (silver) so if yours is regged as an '85 then it must've come pretty much straight from Japan, making it very original. Nice!
Often they would come via Ozzy where they were modified.
There was a mass imported cheap in the late 80s early 90s (mines regged '87)
I totally reckon these have heaps more character than 'most' modern bikes. I wouldn't trade it for the world.
They always draw a crowd, people get very passionate about them!
HA! :) Yes, I love my donorcycle! Plan on never using it as such. And you've got to hand it to Milfred, without people like him, people like us will never be able to get the transplants we need! I'd buy him a beer. (a light one, gotta look after his liver, I may need it one day.)
Firstly, learn to spell. Secondly, learn to ride! Thirdly, go to your local hospital and look at all the people that were involved in a motorcycle accident. 90% of them are there because they're a dickhead like yourself.
And now they're a vegetable, but you've already beaten them to that part!
oh jazuz its diddily- eye- shite D:

Bit of a shame you made a straight line out of all those twisties!

I'm not too bothered. I prefer cruising rather than racing plus the front tyre was bald and I didn't want to push my luck.
Where in NZ are you?
