Do you have any heat issues overclocking it? I've heard it gets kinda hot to begin with... I'm just asking because I'm seriously looking into buying one.
Nope. The fan runs full time when you are doing something so you definately don't want to do this while on battery, but it does up your performance in gaming, ram speed, and of course cpu speed (Windows 7 score increases to a 3.1). Also makes hd h.264 video run easily with 0 frames skipped when played on VLC with some tweaks.
Do you mind telling me what your overclock settings are? I'm using NVidia's overclock software.... i don't want to go overboard w/ it i just want to do it just enough to be able to play vids on crunchyroll w/ 0 frames skipped. If you haven't already noticed... i'm sort of a novice.
And since setfsb also overclocks ram at the same time, it makes everythings (including the graphics card because it uses the same ram) faster. WoW increases by about 10fps when overclocked. I average about 30fps when at 1024x600 everything on low. You can increase some of the settings without much of a hit in performance.
What Clock Generator did you use? i found one that was suggested on gateway's forum but it gives me a pll error... So at the moment i'm using one meant for some Fujitsu laptop... but it sqeezes 1.43GHz out of it... which i suppose is fine since i can now watch movies in HQ on youtube... but i would like to have the correct one.
i think the ao75 looks good .

Eh, the 8h (with tweaking) battery life of the ao751h is worth it to me. I had a laptop with 5h before....I want more...significantly more...
probably shouldn't be playing any serious games anyways.

I have it set up to do this with a shortcut that raises the speed slowly so there is no cpu shock. PM if you don't know how to do that.
I also posted a video of WoW running on the overclock. Just search for LT3103u and it'll show up.
