yeah, my pop always ran a 850 dp on our 455 olds jet boat and now it has a Predator that uses more fuel but has better response. Healthy sounding engine.

water comes in from the jet pump. it enters the back of the exhaust headers to warm it a bit. it then goes into the bottom hoes of what would be the water pump. it then fills the engine till it comes out through the thermostat. it then inters the exhaust at the far side of the traps and goes out of the boat through the exhaust ports.

It's water...in a boat that's all plastic and fiberglass you don't want hot exhaust manifolds burning anything...that's why there's cooling jackets around the manifolds an it's spitting water...

i dont understand how the water comes out the exhaust. is that water hose connected the the water pump? and it goes in the motor and out thru the exhaust manifold?.................. any way awesome motor, sounds great!

It's got water injection. To cool off the exahust flow, and to muffle the sound a little. Otherwise, skiers, other boats, whoever might be behind you, will get a whole lot of hot fumes in the face every time you reve the motor.

No its water, he has a water hose going to it, otherwise it would overheat and it works like a jetski, it sucks in water and pushes it out the back..

I will keep them updated man thanks for the comment i am close to paint right now it is alot of work to restore a hull the right way am am just going to run this 460 this season and hook it up over the winter mabe swap it for a chevy!
