  • lol this song and video is like a bad dream

  • @FBindie True enough. If there's anything nice to say about a bad dream, I guess it makes it a wonderful thing to wake up to the real world!

  • The kids used to call me Big Ears. Never thought of it so positively as I do now. I'll listen as long as these things don't fly away. And I'll try to catch that song one of these days.

  • I take them into consideration. What did you have in mind?

  • Thanks a lot for listening!

  • great song, amazing written introfuction. you seem like a very interesting person

  • Why thank you. I was thinking about that intro today and thinking perhaps I should take it down... I think I tried to once. But I think I'll keep it, seeing as you dig it. Thanks.

  • @dsbuchalter Don't you dare take this video down! It's a great song!

I thought to listen to it since I'm having a bit of Christmas Melancholy.

I've a close friend who had some squirrels once. Maybe they made it through this winter. And if they did, there's hope for you to re-learn how to tune your guitar!

  • @AvelUnderWill Haha - yes ma'am! I won't take it down, I promise. You know, I've learned to deal with clinical depression through learning to "see through" the emotions, and focus on something below the surface of emotions. Check out Jon Kabat Zinn's _Wherever You Go, There You Are_. It offers really simple ways to make major progress in making no progress and being ok with it. It taught me to accept depression when it comes, so it's not so bad. If happiness isn't the goal, it just happens.-D

  • @dsbuchalter Good! ^_^. And thanks, I'll check those out. I have hard times dealing with my mind and emotions. Though if there is no underlying cause, or a cause that I find is partially due to myself and holds me back, I learned to realize when I'm in a depression and, if I have motivation, can pull through for those times. Though it's a constant struggle to all kinds of hell and back. Maybe I ought to find out what my goals are, lol. Good Morning, by the way x]

  • Wow!! What is this? I absolutely love it!!! You are a true artist David!! K

  • Oh David. We have much more in common than our appreciation of literature. I love this song, and I liked your essay too, though it deserves second read, because some of its cognitive leaps kind of went over my head. Alas, I am groggy today.

    P. S. Have you transcribed the lyrics to this song? I'd like to see them.

  • Hey, thanks a lot. I was going to message you specifically to ask you to read the intro; it means a lot to me that you accept it.

It's probably not your grogginess as much as it is that I wrote that essay in one 14-hour sitting (ok with 1 bathroom break), which ended a few hours ago.

    I'll provide the lyrics soon.

    D

  • I more than accept it, David, I live it. Well, I did not live your experiences specifically, of course, but I hope you know what I mean. I'll probably have more thoughts for you later, and send you a message.

  • Sorry I just saw this comment, Lisa! I will get around to that one of these years!

    Hope your'e well. d

  • It takes a great song writer to write a song like this. Top notch stuff. Great riff, and vocals. Love the lyrics and most of all it was totally original. Great stuff!

  • You are too kind. I really appreciate your checking it out-- it's an honor-- I have great respect for the art of yours that you have posted on your channel and even greater respect for the guts it took to put it there. You're a role model, man.
