Some games you're just not meant to win. The crazy thing is if Nebraska just kicks a field goal on the first down after they get into range, they win something like 25-9.
There was are some reasons why the score was only 9-7 despite ISU getting 8 turnovers.
1. ISU got about 5 turnovers inside their own 20.
2. ISU was without their starting QB and RB due to injuries the previous week
3. Nebraska had the best defense in the conference
4. ISU got a couple INT's late in the game where they just wanted to eat up clock, and take no chances of having a turnover of their own, so they played the field position game.
Iowa State was given 8 extra possessions and scored 3 whopping points off them. Wow, what an offense! Everyone in college football knew that Iowa State didn't beat Nebraska that day. Nebraska beat themselves. But hey, a win is a win. But what a horrible football program Iowa State has! They can't beat anyone! They are heading nowhere fast!

Being an AVID Nebraska fan, I have MAD MAD MAD respect for Iowa State. They absolutely played there hearts out in Ames yesterday. Very good game and Nebraska escaped a close one. ISU played an outstanding game apart from the start of the second half wen they gave up 17 unanswered points. but they made up for that wit 14 of their own. I am a huge ISU fan and I honestly was not expecting it to b this close. Great game to watch.

But the absolute worst fans in the nation are Hawkeyes. Especially if they lose a bet, good luck seeing any money from them, whine, throw tantrums, blame it on everyone but themselves.
Iowa fans actually complained to the NCAA after they allowed a rapist to play on their team and he got boo'd.

I still don't get the Niles Paul fumble. It's insane how many times they were heading to the endzone and the ball comes out. What a crazy game. This is a once in a lifetime kind of game.

I watched this a couple times last year, but forgot how hilarious it is. Just awesome! The music added the perfect touch !! With starters out at quarterback and running back, turnovers would have been the Cyclones only chance and the Huskers delivered. Was actually watching the game at a sports bar in Omaha and their fans' expressions were priceless !!

@WildcatHistory I totally agree with you I live in Omaha and Husker fans are hands down the most un-logical un-realistic one sided fans in college football. I hate talking any sports here because no matter what sport it is they will always talk about 95 Nebraska some how, its like every game NU loses they blame the Refs for calling holding or false start penalties you have no idea how right you are.

@WildcatHistory I guess K-State is just used to watching awful games, but when our team plays so below their ability, no of course we're not happy about it. No one would be, or should be.
Still gotta give props to ISU for making those turnovers happen and winning the game. I'm sorry that not all of your experiences with Cornhusker fans have been the greatest, but don't generalize the entire fan base off of a few small observations.

Everyone keeps thinking that Nebraska just gave us the ball. No way. The players had to keep fighting for it and always found a way to get the ball back. Sure, we only scored 9 points on 8 turnovers, but look who won bitches.

As I sit and watch this, I just have to laugh. Nebraska was clearly a superior team to Iowa St. but sometimes you shoot yourself in the foot so badly that you can't recover. When Nebraska curb stomps Iowa St. in Ames this year, we'll all realize this.

I am an Oklahoma fan and i have lots of respect for Iowa State. I really hope ISU does good this year. And for Nebraska i used to have lots of respect for them but now since they left......PISS ON NEBRASKA! Screw the team! Yea I know Nebraska beat OU.
