As far as I can remember it is at a little place called Montigliani which is close to Lugano and Locarno at the Lago Magiore. If you ask a tourist office in Locanro or Lugano they will tell you.
He is my most best favorite writer. wow, his typewriter, thats cool. wonder which books he wrote while in that house. if i see him before you i will give him your regards.

Hey Ulrich, thanks for posting this. Many years ago I read all the books by Hermann Hesse that I could get my hands on. Interesting house and a great view of the city and lake. If Hesse were here now he would probably be with his laptop computer, writing.
despite how surreallistic it is he never would cause he took writing as an art
linked with the others like calligraphy and painting..it is the procedure to let sth out of your deepest inner the ink be your blood word for word sometimes the hand scribbling faster than your thoughts..........

The house, called the Casa Camuzzi, is in the village of Montagnola on a hill called Collina d'Oro, above Lugano, Switzerland.
