You wouldn't want one on a Toyota though. It'd randomly go to full voltage, and it wouldn't stop until it ran out of juice (or you crashed and broke it).
Even though this commercial is intented to be a joke, there still some potential in this product. I'd get one on my car immidiately, assuming that it wouldn't bring me any murder-charges.
Car thieves, as thieves in general, deserve to die.
what? so if someone isn't being very useful to society they should just straight up be exterminated? you would make hitler blush. have you done much that was useful lately?
they don't steal cars to be assholes, they do it because 'society' tells them to get a car - there are car adverts everywhere and its a huge status symbol - but they are too poor to afford one.
they aren't stealing it to have the car for themselves, lol that's dumb, yeah real smart, they steal it for people that want it so they can make money, but they could go get a job. Instead they resort to being little dick heads and fucking with peoples shit, they know it's not theirs, they aren't mental. I don't steal shit. why should anyone else? I work at a call center that hires fucking idiots, they could go work there. they are always hiring, instead they are punks that hurt people.
you aren't poor. there's a huge difference between your world and theirs. when you're a marginalised member of society and cannot relate to 'normal' life, when you already have a criminal record and the only jobs you may be able to acheive in life wouldn't take you past burger flipper, when your friends are doing it, and the dad you never met probably did it, and you may even have a drug habit to fund - crime makes perfect sense.
and so I should feel sorry for them? don't get me wrong, I wished everyone could be prosperous. but the people that choose to do drugs and crime. That was their choice, so because of their bad choices it's okay that someone gets their window smashed and their CD player stolen that was sedimental to them?
these people can get help from the government, they have programs for people to get jobs if they have had a criminal past or no diploma. they choose not to do that tho.
and it's not like society made them turn to drugs and crime, if they didn't fuck up in the first place they wouldn't have to resort to stealing cars and whatnot. it's not like society said "Oh, at random, were just gonna fuck YOUR life up" they did it themselves. A criminal could easily tomorrow go to seek help and say "I want to change my life" but no, they just keep doing the same shit over and over, and good people have to pay for their mistakes.
if my car was broken into of course i'd be pissed, but going "car theives should be murdered" won't help. the only real solution to crime is reducing poverty, which is the principal cause. there's a direct link between the income equality of a society and the level of crime.
Yeah, I'll admit I was a little upset when I made that comment that they should be dead, but seriously man, this little fuck with his parka walked by my girlfriends Jeep grinning, and then made a call right away. and the next day our fucking CD player is gone. I could just tell he was calling to set up a job.
@bobzilla211 NO the only real solution to crime is to have citizens ENMASS and as one say NO and respond forcefully (violently if needed) to actively stop crime as it happens.
People don't goto crime because they need money (thats what jobs are for) they goto crime because they are lazy and want something for nothing. Because of the thrill. Because they are just not nice people (there are exceptions to this off course)
I consider theft to be close to murder. Your stealing a chunk of my live.
@nerys71 so how come crime rates are so much higher in unequal societies? you really don't make much sense talking about citizens unless you mean vigilante groups/neighbourhood watch - you can't 'get' society to do something and in theory everyone agrees crime is bad but people still do it.
without massive govt programs, no society achieves full employment. there simply aren't enough jobs to go round, especially in poorer areas. turning to crime is a natural response to being marginalised.
@bobzilla211 But if you reduce costs dramatically you WILL create jobs. Companies will have more money to spend so they can hire MORE PEOPLE and therby employ more people.
When I talk citizens I mean If I see a crime happening in front of me I will actively and IF absolutely needed violently interfere and STOP the crime. No matter the potential costs to me (within reason not going to go running up to a guy with a gun got to handle that more intelligently) but you get the idea.
crime doesn't make perfect sense, there's ways of making money without resorting to crime. What do you think those window washer people on the street are doing? they are being proactive, I respect people that beg for change than people that steal peoples shit. At least they are asking, and not fucking taking.
when someone fucken smashes your car window and takes your shit, you better not get mad, just be like "Oh sweet, this feels great, nice person, I want to give him a big ol bear hug"
what, so you think these people take drugs and drop out of the system because they are somehow fundamentally weak people? like they are born that way or something? don't be so naive. everything you are is a product of your environment. if you grow up in some shitty project the chances of you leaving any way but in a bodybag are slim. free will is what you decide to do based on your life up to that point. do you think these kids all go "hmm, if i take drugs then i might end up addicted. oh well."
how many times has there been people that have lived in the hood/ghetto, that have been on Oprah with their story of how they are successful people? regardless of where they live. They were able to do it, didnt they grow up in generally the same environment with negative influences as the people that don't do anything with their life, & resort to drugs & crime. You choose what you do, no body makes you do drugs. And it should be common sense to know that drugs are addictive, not hard to see that
Bobzilla and camaro, great debate. I think it all depends on the individual. Two people can grow up in the situation and one can turn to a life of crime and the other can turn into the hard working individual. After all what makes people like Madoff want to steal? Certainly isn't poverty. He's not begging for change or wondering when his next meal is coming in. There are plenty more examples like him. I'm sure being poor contributes to crime but it's not the only cause.
The echo sound on ''lethal response'' killed me. Hahahahha I remember seeing Robocop 2 and hoping it would be good, this is the 1st scene and it just made me want to sit trought the ole movie.
