@kageryu311 Both cars are going to be sick. I remember many 2V 4.6 mustang owners running the Paxton Novi 2000, Procharger P1SC or Vortech V2 S-trim. It is a big supercharger. The 76 mm Turbo I am familiar with because I ran one on my 99 GT Auto. It ran 10.90s on 93 octane and stock longblock 4.6. I am saving for a 2008 C6 A6, but I found a sweet 2004 C5 with only 26K miles and immaculate that I can take right now for 26.5K Decisions!

@Marc99GT Not a big fan of auto but I would go with that C6. Base C5s now a days are just good cruisers. They have lots of potential but you are gonna want that extra power stock. I'm deploying soon and my shop will be installing the blower on my vette and when I return I'm gonna decide whether I'm keeping the vette or selling it and getting a 50k mile C6Z. I'm holding onto my Supra though. :)

The fact of the matter is, almost everything has lag, even the engine it's self, or else they'd reach 10,000 RPM in a matter of a tenth of a second. Come on people, common sense.

Well it's true, almost everything on a car has lag, down to the engine it's self. Like I said, if it didn't have lag, people would not be constantly trying to improve throttle response, and engines would rev to their max RPM in probably less of a tenth of a second.

Just to end the convo below me, I don't give a rats ass about turbo lag. Yes if you throw a huge snail in the Vette you'll lag but there's something called launching in boost and break boosting when you're doing highway pulls. Its been proven that a turbo charged vehicle has more potential to produce high numbers than s/c applications. Just look at the 03-04 Cobra with a KB s/c on it vs. a 03-04 Cobra with a hellion twin turbo set up...

Lag is practically an unknown term with modern ball bearing turbos, they get to full boost in about 1.5-1.8 seconds, I was looking up times, which is about the amount of rev time required to get a blower to full boost.

What are you talking about? I'm on the subject of small block Chevy's and you give me a video of turbo lag on a mitsubishi. Yeah, because that makes sense. I'm not talking about size ratio between the engine and turbo, small block Chevy's have more than enough CFM of exhaust gasses flowing to support two decently sized turbos.

yea sorry my mistake. Yea you are right the lag times are different in different engines. Yes turbocharging V8 like SBC is good option between supercharger and turbocharger also can increase gas mileage. In corvette for example the "lag" isn't actually so big or it doesn't feel so big cause of the torque.

Centrifugal supercharger have just as much lag as modern turbo's that are sized properly. It isn't much and isn't anywhere close to what most people claim/act like it is though. I mean..the guys running massive turbo's on Supra's that take 10 seconds to spool is one thing..but the typical systems aren't like that, esp on LSx engines.

That looks like a C5 it has the slope in the window like a hatch I have one and until recently the did away with the coupe look. The straight back window on the ZO6. Very nice though. Looks fast as hell

looks a standard C5...(i use 'standard' loosely) most likely FRC body C5. Z06's (also a FRC body) have different looking instruments/gauges. z06 or not... that car will blow most things away, including a new c6z.
