  • Funny how there are rail clickety clack sounds when in fact its all CWR LOL.

  • Interesting. I went to school in Exeter between 1979 and 1988, and we went to Dawlish many times. Well remember the sound of those Peaks growling round the corner at Dawlish Warren. Also remember trips from Worcester to Paignton in Mark 1 carriages hauled by Peaks, though as a K=kid I thought a 125 was more exciting, the old carriages were rubbish. What I'd give to stand in the corridor of a Mk 1 all the way from Salisbury to Bristol TM nowadyas!

  • Jeez that film needs restoring!

  • i'm an 80's kid so i love br blue - to be honest, the westerns are the only class which really looks shit in it! would rather see them in br green with small yellow panels!

  • Enjoyed that. Thank you

  • Great Video, 5 Stars! and Merry Christmas :)

  • Wow. That Class 50 looks to be at its worst. No wonder why they proved to be unreliable struggling to attain 60% on the road compared with 80% attained by some of the surviving "Westerns".

  • A very early working for a 50 ? Or a bit mixd in

  • motor rail train......those were the days

  • I Remember in the late 60's and early 70's when we were going on holiday to Paignton or Cornwall, going along this strech of line. I still think it is the best strech of line in Britain.

  • Haha i live near Dawlish in Kenton but went to their school, well jsut left to go college this year this is sick footage haha it has changed so much

  • Motorail should make a comeback!

  • hehe this is good! been to dawlish many times - look at "the day we went to dawlish" heeeheeee lol

  • The people walking over the tunnel entrance at 2:59 is pretty funny

  • Great footage pity about the annoying commentry mainly stating the obvious

  • I can only echo other comments, super stuff. Many holls spent at hotel on Dawlish sea front come flooding back, many thanks for sharing.

  • Very happy days.Great to relive those fantastic locomotives and how much they are missed.

  • That was great. As a child I went on a motorail trip from Newton-Le-Willows down to Newton Abbot in 1967. This has brought back some memories, thanks for posting.
