Liked it! Currently the vocal sounds a little apologetic, it sounds as though the delivery was pretty quiet. I'd be curious to see how it sounds with a bigger distance from the mic and a harder delivery, perhaps even bordering on a shout.
Thanks. Like the video description says, this is a "work in progress". I had recorded it right after I finished writing the lyrics. I was reading them as I recorded it. Once the lyrics are finalized (and I've actually memorized them) I can create a final draft, giving a better performance.
I've been really impressed with your channel, and I subscribe to all the good atheist/skeptic channels I find. When I found out RationalWarrior raps I thought it was awesome.
I'm definitely diggin' your IDM/chiptune sound.
Anyways, I'm an artist and I think that some atheists, say Thunderfoot, are a bit stiff. Richard Dawkins downright despises creativity that goes beyond reality. It turns people off.
Thanks. I can't really say that I'm heavily influenced by IDM or chiptune, but I've been getting into some electronic music lately ( Skrillex, Justice, DeadMau5). Mix that with a little rage against the machine, Erik B. and Rakim, Public Enemy, Boogie Down productions, and that's what I'm going for. But whatever, it's just music.
I've never heard Richard Dawkins say anything negative about creativity.
@somecomputergeek Dawkins is not necessarily against creativity; only creativity that goes beyond reality. I've seen him say several times that he feels children should not be exposed to anything fantasy based. He feels that it promotes irrational thinking. In these speeches he promotes his idea of a children's book based on science and logic. He says that these subjects are infinitely greater than fantasy based modes of entertainment. I've seen him go borderline totalitarian in his thinking.
If that's true, then I agree with you. In fact, I would say it's important to teach kids the difference between fantasy and reality, because one aspect of reality is the existence of fiction, in various forms. The day there is no longer any fiction or fantasy in the world is the day when I would agree with Dawkins and say that exposing kids to creative fantasy is a bad idea.

Awesome lyrics. But in my opinion, I think it sounds like old 80's rap mixed with free-form poetry XD. Not my style of music but a very good message.

Thanks. The last thing I want to sound like is something you've heard before.
