  • ya no kidding....

    nice video!

  • alright fight someplace else, i didnt make this for you guys to fight on.

  • Western saddles don't hurt the horse. And it isn't about a rider's saddle. Usually it's a rider that's skrews up a horses back when it comes down to the "Which causes more pain worse: saddle or human"

  • well i landed fine the other times, i NEVER slam on his back! never!

and the time we had a bad jump, i wasnt even near his back lol

  • oh nice pink shirts!!!!!!!!you guys must have has SOOOO much fun

  • good job. u look really good on the horse u were riding really good. It must be really fun to jump western. iv only rode english.

  • good job. u look really good on the horse u were really good. It must be really fun to jump western. iv only rode english.

  • Awsome girl! It looks great. I like that horse you ride on ^^ Looks like you have bunch of fun!

    5/5

  • There is absolutly nothing wrong with jumping your horse in a western saddle. Sure it take a little more technique so you dont poke your self in the chest with your horn. but if you can spin, do sliding stops, make sharp turns, ect.. then you can most certainly jump.

What ever stated that its hard on a horses back jumping in a western saddle is a myth!

  • omg.thats not what i was talking about ok.and yes i have, when you jump your horse in a western saddle it can be dangerous for the rider, not for these size jumps and for like the lil jumps they so at the xtreme cowboy race but if you were to jump like 3ft you cold get hurt.plus you cant get into a correct position.

  • Sorry about my first commet, i accidentally put it under yours.

But again, this comment here wasnt even directed towards you but several people who commented on this video so chill out.

I wouldent call a jump that was at least 2'6 "little". You can have fine position in a western saddle it might be different from jumping in an english but as long as you dont interfere with your horse i dont see why not.

  • you dont even have any vids up of u riding english so what do you know.all u ever do is be a know it all on everyones vids...western saddles arent made for jumping.end of story.and if that wasnt directed to me then dont reply to me...duh.and 2'6 isnt a big jump for a horse.horses can jump 3ft from a stand still.you dont kno everything ok get over it

  • Who were you talking to? Not to sound like a snob or anything.

  • oh no i was talking to ohhsnappdawg

  • ok ACCIDENT.. do you know what the means? can you read? I guess not...

English saddls werent made for barrewl racing but i have still seen people do it. It might make it more difficult but its not gonna hurt the horse! it is the same case here... Would i recomend that some one go jump a 7 foot fence in a western saddle? no.. but i wouldent recomend someone barrel race on an NFR horse in an english saddle either!

  • the question is can YOU read?maybe u should try it b4 you try to be smart about everything.see now ur just going beside the point.maybe some pro barrel racers should try barrel racing in an english saddle so they learn to keep a better position and it should help their runs a lot.

  • Ok try it and post a vid and let me know how it goes! (Or so we can all just point and laugh)

I was comparing two situations how is that beside the point?!

You are the one going beside the point by saying that barrel racers should run in english saddles.. thats beside the point!

Jumping in a western saddle does not hurt a horse.. end of story. If you cant PROVE other wise then i would worry about replying.

  • Oh. Sorry to bother you :)

  • And what does vids of me riding english have to do with... ANYTHING?! You obviously dont know everything either, If you did you would know that not all horses could jump 3 ft from a stand still! every horse is different they dont all posses the exact same qualities. some horses jump some runn ect.. but I can tell you that i have had horses that cant get two feet off the ground with a trotting start with out knocking things over.

"you dont kno everything ok get over it"

    Same to you

    Touche

  • cool

  • oh i know how you feel. i rode a QH western horse at my friends house, but I rode her english 1 day and her dad made me jump her and she plowed through the jump!!! the standards and poles all fell down and it was like 2'3"--harsh!! (on a western QH)

  • this is a cute video and its amazing that you were jumping western!! great job :)

  • u rly should never jump western unles its like 2 poles ontop of each other....its not good for there backs. but nice riding!!!

  • not true.

  • yeah, my dad mom and vet all agree.

  • Just because your mommy and Daddy say so soent make it true. I dont know what kind of vet you use but he doesnt know anything about western saddles.

  • its not position at all its about the horses back and my vet has a western horse.

  • if you would have just read my whole freakin comment i never even said that jumping in a western saddle will hurt the horse.dont make a freakin big deal about it and act like u kno everything.i ride both western and english too ya kno

  • this comment wasnt even directed toward you in anyway...

  • shes trying to be all that, becuase she says she own 63 irish sport h orses, and 50 spical dressage saddles

  • Wait.. who are you refering too?

  • crazydog, not desertride, or you

  • but yea crazypuppy123, jumping western doesnt hurt the horse, if the saddle fits right but they just arent made for jumping unless ur like trail riding and theres a log or creek in front of you, yea go ahead and jump it...w/e.if ur serious about jumping you wouldnt jump western anyway.unless ur at a camp like this and they make u

  • ok this is making nooo sense to me. all these horses r squished together and ur jumping western! wtf.....

  • hey we had a ton of people and we HAD to get it done. the horses get along and it doesnt hurt them dumbass

  • wow that looked like it hurt!! How come you were in western saddles?? Were you guys suppost to match at all?? I'm really confused, my blonde side is showing! haha sry

  • cause thats how we ride there, i was supposed to be bareback.

no it didnt hurt. i almost slipped, i didnt get stabbed

  • What's the song? I love it

  • leavin

  • they really shouldnt let u jump western, not safe at all even tho i used to do it too lol it can really hurt to take a horn in th chest...lol

  • yeah but just flat stuff is booooring

  • Thats not true!

havent you ever heard of the extreme cowboy race? have you ever watched the opening to the NFR?

jumping in a western saddle doesnt bother your horse.

  • Oh yeaaaah ! (H)

  • u did good all of u ppl did good..nice save on butterscotch ..that must have been hard to jump western but u did good for jumping western

  • Big group. Ive never been in a group that big. Good job!

  • looks like you had fun! but WHY did they have u jump western? its like impossible lol =P

  • cause we ride western at the BR

  • oh and i'm makin a new vid with this song!!eeee
