Anyone else find it ironic that a few years after this, the concept that "every kid is special" was created? I know that every kid has potential, but not many kids these days can be trusted with cutlery and unguarded wall sockets... yet, these kids were kicking ass before Power Rangers was on the air (I know Super Sentai was years before this, but not everyone knows).

Even if the Yuusha and the Eldoran were separate, there was at least 1 Yuusha show with an Eldoran analogue. In Brave Command Dagwon (which itself was "what if we had animated Sentai series"), there was this guy called Brave Seijin who gave the humans their powers.

In any case, the thing that sets the Yuusha and the Eldoran apart is the presence of intelligent, autonomous robots on the hero side. The Eldoran series had none of that.

This is to clarify things....

Power Rangers existed long before this anime, they exist in the Japanese side known as Sentais

to this day ALL the power rangers footages (transformed scenes) are from the sentai series

some sort of giant robot help good guys

good guys fight bad guys and owns until last 2 episodes

good guys loses everything in the final battle against final bad guy boss...

pretty much sums all the yuusha series out there.

However, Daiteioh only had one short episode and the rest was all manga. if I'm not mistaken, Daiteioh was the ONLY Eldran series to be on Manga only.

That was a "Goodbye gift" to Eldran fans, because that (the 7-minute OVA) was a few years before the TakaraTomy merger (in which Eldran and Yuusha series are now just one: Yuusha).

Still they could do re-releases of the toys since they have the rights etc. and could include them in possible future Yuusha collaborations, so it's not really the end. Raijinoh was one of the six robots in the Brave Wars game on PS2.

The two companies that made them (along with Sunrise), Takara (for the Yuusha) and Tomy (for the Eldran), later became TakaraTomy and thus the Eldran series is now considered part of the Yuusha series due to some similarities. (check Brave Wars for the PS2 to see what I mean)
