was on vacation in london last year and they played A BLOCK AWAY from the hotel i was staying at. for whatever reason we didnt end up[ going to the show;biggest regret of my life haha. these fuckers were AMAZING.
@archDeluxxe He's playing on his Jazzmaster that's in alternate tuning, so the chords are a bit weird. Swervedriver's got information about all of that on their website, though.
This was the first time I heard and saw them and I've been a huge fan ever since. I ran out and found Raise the next day.. Seeing this performance is VERY cool.. Thank you.
Excellent post! Sound quality is what matters...I had no idea who Swervedriver was when I went to see Soundgarden and Pearl Jam in Austin in 1992. Little did I know I'd be a bigger fan of their opening act...let that be a lesson...never miss the opening act!
Early 90's - they were playing live on MTV's 120 minutes show. Remember - back when MTV played music? Like their name MUSIC Television? Those days are gone. Thanks for posting your comment - Cheers.
Nope - that's Jez. I saw them in Portland about 7 weeks ago - they were as tight as ever - absolutely a soul moving experience. Still coming down from that show.
I saw Swervedriver on their 99th Dream Tour at a place called The Troubador in Hollywood. Like this video they played their material perfectly. One of my all time favorite bands. Dare I say it.....just as good as Led Zep?
If you watch the whole video, at the end it shows that it was a privately performed set for an MTV special, back when they actually had music to show...

Love Swervedriver and this clip is the business. Proper music not like the stylized bullshit we have to put up with today

Same here. I discovered grunge because of that game. Too bad the PC game came out right before the year movement died.
