  • I WANA WATCH MORE FROM THIS CONCERT!!!! somebody can tell me where? THX

  • Good version---Brian is a guitar genius and the band as a whole sure puts on a show---never saw them in person but even my dad loves the music they make---

  • they sort of looked like a punk rock band--but definitely did well with rockabilly tunes---Brian's a really good guitar picker---still is

  • @micmoable ... didn't we all look kinda punk with our eyeliner in the 80's? I wore it because I thought that was what real rockabillys did. If you read Carl Perkins' autobiography he said that Elvis wore it and Carl's brother(s) all said he was a sissy (meaning gay then). To this day, the uneducated masses still think Blue Sued Shoes was an Elvis Tune and barely know who Carl is... guess it was the eyeliner! :)

  • WAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yyyeeeeeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

  • In Mexico there is Rockabilly too!!! not like this obviously... but who cares? its rockabilly man!!!

  • :D

  • this is wicked i just learned bout the guys and gene vincent and stuuf this rocks

  • Interesting that the Stray Cats used a piano and sax during those days. I saw Brian Setzer play this song with his solo act live (before the BSO) when he toured with George Thorogood, and it rocked as a 3 piece. This is a great clip of the Cats at their peak.

  • they should be played in radio instead of lady gaga

  • NOT BAD AT ALL.

  • yeah!! rockabilli - rock & roll -

  • What a show guys!

  • Now THIS is Rock N Roll baby!!!

  • damn song!!

    I really like this version....

  • Cool... inspired by the Buddy Holly's 1955 demo version, at least they started the same, with the drumbeat and the guitar hits.

  • not tomcats!!!!

  • why not?

  • what do u men "why not?"

In Stray cats thers only 3 "guys" :P and have always been

  • this is incredible!!!

  • this isn't tom cats, this is young stray cats with extra pianist

  • oh and a extra sax also.

  • Stray Cats used to be "The Tomcats."

  • no.. in tomcats vas Gary on drums (brians brother) bob beecher on the bass and brian on guitar and singing

  • Right, but they were replaced by Slim Jim and Lee. They moved to London beeing the Tomcats and once there Lee sugested the name Stray Cats, token from the Rolling Stone's Stray Cat blues

  • Rockabilly Rules!!

  • this is not Tomcats, its Stray Cats in Paris, early 80s...i have this on dvd

  • hi there cats :)

    the tomcats were:

    brian setzer - guitar/vocals

    gary setzer - drums

    bob beecher - bass

    greets from germany

  • love that song,the cats rock.thanks.

  • Hhaha...

    my bad,

    The Tomcats.

  • Stray Cats are awesome.

    Rockabilly Rules

  • Wow, Amazing clip! Thanks for uploading!! The Cats are gods!

  • Yes yes. This is early Brian Setzer Orchestra.

  • this is NOT the BSO, my friend :)

  • well...they're (to me) not as bad as you think they are..but hey to each his own!

  • Actually, the original was written & performed by Little Richard, recorded by Art Rupe on his Specialuty label. Bill Haley did a cover version, as did Elvis circa 55-56.

  • yeah! ive always said that Brian looks A LOT like Joe Strummer!! Its eerily fascinating. He looked a lot like him both in his young and old stages :P

  • Funny I was just thinking Billie Joe Armstrong looks like Setzer also, with the same eyeliner!

  • jazz my arse even Brian admits they could have been a punk band but they went the Rockabilly way you will hear some jazz riffs but not songs

  • Brain looks like Joe Strummer, je, Mel Collins Played with King Crimson too right?

  • Actually these are the Stray Cats in 1982, in France (Paris Hippodrome) just after the release of their second album Gonna Ball. The sax is Mel Collins who played with The Rolling Stones.

  • Unlike the majority of the Stray Cat's hits, in this early tune, Brian's guitar is not really the central element in the song. Perhaps he got more confident in his ability over the years?

  • Or maybe they decided to showcase the sax just like Little Richard's version does.

  • I doubt it. He was a jazz virtuoso by the time he was a teenager.

  • Cool video, who knew they'd become pretty famoous?

  • This really rocks. Thanks a lot!

  • this is incredible!!!
