My friends and I play games where we throw lightning bolt cards at each other when casting, if you forget to draw a card or play a land, screw it, do it on my turn, who cares..... would that kind of thing fly on the cruise? It's all in good fun ya know.

next turn, attack with sphinx, return to hand and cast again :O

That is not what I meant. Valakuts don't count as mountains, they count as non-basic lands. I was talking about indigoember mistaking Valakuts for the mountains required for their ability. Granted, you could do it while beginning with four mountains in play, as you said, and I realize that.

honest question i need answered. It was my foes first main phase and he had a garruk on the field @ 3 used the 2nd ability then the 1st one a turn previous. He forgets to activate his garruks ability on this turn and he plays a Joraga Warcaller kicked once. In response i targeted garruk w/ a bolt. he tried to claim that he could use his planeswalker ability on the stack. Is he Right??

Even though this isn't the place, NO he cannot do that, because Planeswalker abilities can only be used at sorcery speed.
