  • I'm going for a Weapon R Intake in my 97 Galant, I'm trying to gain some kind of power.

  • i would love to install that but sadly, i have a nissan patroland here in the uae, if you install air intake, ur car is gna be impounded for 4 months minimum, but I WANT POWER :'( now the little problem here is i need some power but without noising up the car, cuz its only illigal cuz its noisy, soo yeah im on the search for something un noisy soo the police wont have to take my car...

btw, just saying im only 15 soo dont gimme details cuz i might not know ALL the details, btw im from the uae .

  • that poor integra needs halo projector headlights asap

  • Can I ask, when you install a cold air intake to your car, is it really necessary for an ECU tuning?

  • @driftsilvia16 Generally, no, you don't need an ECU tune...after installing the CAI, you want to reset the ECU and it force a retune of the engine to ensure safe parameters. That said, you can usually get more power by combining an ECU tune with engine mods. If your goal is more power, a tuner should help you maximize gains.

  • what about the Air Temperature Sensor? won't this throw a cel?

  • I thinking about getting the FIPK for my 95 Escort Gt, first upgrade as well, is there anything i should know or consider before i purchase and install this? If anyone can answer thatd be great, thanks.

  • @Imamonkee108 It should be a good upgrade for you! Installation is pretty easy, as shown above, and it should give you a decent bump in horsepower and torque.

If you decide to make the purchase, please buy from AutoAnything! We guarantee you'll get the best price for up to one year after your purchase. We'll also ship it for free, and we have an Exclusive 90-day guarantee on the FIPK: install it and try it out for 90 days. If you don't love it, you can return it for a full refund.

  • @AutoAnything Thanks for the info!

  • @AutoAnything i found it on ajusa . com for 36 dollars cheaper so i bought from them. Theirs was 191 and your was 226 i think

  • @ttimothyp16 Thanks for the heads up, I'm sorry to hear that. Just so you know, if you had called our sales department and asked for a price match, we would have beat their final price by $10. And if you found it for a lower price up to 1 year after your purchase, we would have refunded you the difference again.

  • I think a AEM sounds louder & more crisp than K&N

  • Idk maybe

It's just me. But that is a small CAI. I thought it was a SR.

  • I just ordered the K&N FIPK from you guys and now I am seeing all over F150.net that it will cause a lean burn ration which will increase engine temperature. Can you comment on this please?

  • @TheMassdistortion Without knowing what threads you've been reading, what engine and what other mods you have, it is hard to provide a complete answer. That said and assuming you only have an intake, the F150's MAF / O2 sensor should compensate for the increased air volume and prevent a dangerously lean condition from occurring.

CAI's are a very popular upgrade, but the best way to know for sure is by installing the FIPK and taking it to a dyno, they'll measure the A/F ratio during a pull.

  • @AutoAnything Why is the 99-03 K&N 57 3045 not compatable with the 97 grand prix gtp, its the same car isnt it?

  • @LordQuantumJew Well, the engines are the same, but the available space under the hood is different. I checked our other intake brands...AEM, AirAid, Volant, AFE, Takeda, Spectre and Injen... none of them make an intake for your vehicle either. I don't know the specifics, but it sounds like there is a fitment issue with the 1997 GTP.

  • I just got a Injen IS Short Ram Intake for my 2001 Integra LS. It doesn't come with a heat shield, but would there be any gains if I add one in?

  • @mchu519 Yes, adding some sort of heat shield to the intake would help your engine make more power, but unless you live in a really hot climate or you've got a ton of engine mods, I doubt you would feel the difference on an Integra. The gain would probably fall in the 1-2% range, so +2-3 horsepower on an otherwise stock engine.

That said: Bigger engines, or engines running some sort of forced-induction system, could probably feel the difference after adding a heat shield to the intake.

  • VERY IMPORTANT: WILL THAT INTAKE FIT MY ACURA INTEGRA VTI-R 1997

  • can anyone install this system or should i get a mechanic?

  • @dork0616 This video does a pretty good job explaining the installation steps. If you have the tools and the know-how, go for it... but if you feel uncomfortable working on your car, then you should call a local mechanic.

  • Is there actually cold air being created by the cold air intake. If so, how is it being created?

  • @cris15ization A cold air intake allows an engine to breathe air from a cooler location. Usually, this means the filter will be routed through a fender or placed near the front of the engine bay, where is can get fresh air from outside. Most cold air intakes come with a heat shield or a closed filter box, to make sure that the engine doesn't heat up the filter or the air charge.

Since cold air is denser than warm air, the engine can burn fuel more efficiently, raising horsepower and torque.

  • @cris15ization its not actually creating cold air but it filters out hot air . u see cold air is denser then hot air and what the filter does is only let in the smaller air particles which are the colder ones ther for gives ur ingen cold air

  • "It does?" she said that as if it was a question

  • @Gam3r565 lol i know right.
