22rs do not like heat. I highly advise to never run it hot you will be sorry. The 22r is a tough ass motor but she don't like to be too hot trust me... i've replaced bookoo coolant devices and head gasket twice and me truck was still overheating and getting coolant into the oil until i found out my timing cover had a hold in it from the timing chain rubbing it so yea.... plus radiator cap holds pressure in the system if its off or leaking thats a big no no.
In this cooling system there is a line at the base of the radiator cap that runs to the radiator reserve. That is where is pressure variance runs to and back - but clearly there should be a standard level that it is at, at the end of every drive.
That was not happening because of loss of water at the cap, it should have been running to the reserve down the line.
I PROMISE you, Its the head gasket letting pressure from the cylinders into the cooling system. they're known for that. Mine did the same thing.

looks like a blown head gasket to me dude

I copy what you are saying but it was actually just leaking out at the top and burning off. It was not apparent at all in traffic.
Fortunately, I have changed fluids and can authoratively tell you the head is fine. (no water in oil/vice versa)

its better warping or cracking a cyl head then the block... iron!!!

Shut the engine down before you damage IT, not the camera...

Actually, That would be a blown head gasket.

Leaking radiator cap also keeps the pressure in the system from building up. Lower pressure means the coolant will boil at a lower temperature.
