It never even struck me that the first BDS was like a Tarantino movie at all! But this one seemed a little more like it.. Still was a great movie though!!

It's not playing near me, and I was so depressed! I'm buying it the first day it comes out on DVD. If someone puts it online before them, don't think I won't watch it, but if you are a true fan, you will see it in theaters (if you can) and buy a legitimate copy of the DVD. That's what saved the first one and legitimized the filming of this one. I can't wait!

Being that I absolutely love the first installment of 'The Saints' I honestly was quite disappointed with the sequel. The MacManus Brothers (Sean Patrick Flanery & Norman Reedus) and there father Noah 'Il Duce' (Billy Connolly) were true to their characters and were fantastic. We were also given more of a background story to 'Il Duce' which I felt was needed and I absolutely loved the reprisal of Rocco (David Della Rocco) our beloved sidekick.

(cont'd) The trio of detectives Dolly, Duffy & Greenly (David Ferry, Brian Mahoney & Bob Marley) were again hilarious. The overacting of new cast members (Julie Benz, Judd Nelson & Clifton Collins Jr.) was virtually unwatchable. The storyline was not so much of an issue but at times I found it to be somewhat half-witted and simplistic along with most of the dialogue.

Though my review may sound like that of mixed feelings I still must say that I expected more out of writer and director Troy Duffy. I think he delivered us a cut-rate sequel with shoddy dialogue and inferior actors for this cult classic. I know my review may be a bit harsh but don't get it twisted, I still have plenty of love 'The Saints'.
