  • this is really a great band and a great example of the pionering 80's

  • i have the cleaner HQ version of this. should I upload?

  • One of the last great 80's songs.I miss the 80's but I'm glad I grew up back then.

  • a masterpiece by The Wild Swans!!!

  • This reminds me of Lightning Seeds and Ocean Bue

    I like it a lot.

  • @henrythebootleger well they did split off and form Lightning Seeds and Care, not sure about Ocean Blue

  • Thank you a zillion times, dear uploader...

  • Has nobody put Revolutionary Spirit on here yet.... I want to hear it again!!!!!

  • :))

  • I believe the band and the song your asking about is called Monday - Fallen Angel. I hope this helps fhw4979. I agree, it`s an awesome song.

    Cheers

  • just a follow-up on this- you were correct. Monday- Fallen Angel was the song I was looking for. Thanks again- was looking for this for ages.

  • Hi,

I`m glad I was able to help you out. Take Care

  • OK this is a total shot in the dark but anyone who likes this song might be able to help. I am a big fan of 80's first wave and I have on an old mix tape a song that repeats: You are the fallen angel, You are the fallen angel, you are the fallen angel where ever you are, (not sure of the next phrase but sounds like- minute to minute living in exile). Any 80's fans out there have any clues for me? I have been desparate to ID this for years. It has a dance beat, male voice- probably Euro.

  • I believe the band and the song your asking about is called Monday - Fallen Angel. I hope this helps fhw4979. I agree, it`s an awesome song.

    Cheers

  • There are a few copies on Ebay. I couldn't find any clips online (must be fairly obscure). I went ahead and bought one. Thanks for the info synthpopfan- you are the first one to even try and help at all. Much appreciated. Will post a followup when I get the vinyl in the mail.

  • Hey no problem fhw4979, i`m glad I could help.

    Take Care

  • I wish I could build a time machine and see the Wild Swans live in concert back in the roaring 80's...

  • Regarding to Simpsons website, they renunited (again) and are releasing a record in 2008

    Yes, great band, quite underrated.

  • I used to see the Wild Swans walking around Liverpool city centre in the 80's. They used to frequent The Armadillo cafe dressed in world war II flying jackets and forties baggy trousers. Paul Simpson looks much different in real life- more stunning, especially his eyes which are vivid blue and very wide. He looks like a French actor. Great vid - takes me back - a Life on Mars moment.

  • how cool is that?

  • Where the hell can you get there CDs here in the states? All there is here are either the country songs or crappy rap music.

  • Long live the new wave! Wild Swans - the best

  • One of the Coolest songs that will forever always be cool! Never get tired of hearing this song, and has so many memories! From having my walkman in High School, to flying in Cessna's 152 in my aviation class, to weekends listening on 1060 KUKQ AM. There will never be another decade like the 80's and the New Wave Era! So much music and the radio stations pumped out for all to hear! We need to build a time machine and make a b line to the 80's!

  • the best of the best! wild swans and other new wave bands will never die...

  • Trully awesome time in my life. New wave will always be in your system. After 24 years, it all seems just like yesterday. It makes you always feel young and pure again.

  • I hear you...I still listen to the same music I listened to in the 1980s! Aside from Wolfsheim and a couple of newer synth-pop bands I've found over the last few years my music collection is almost entirely comprised of music from the 1980s.

  • bring back the good memories.. thanks

  • one of the best songs of wild swans! timeless!

  • new wave is the best!!!!!

  • can u upload the northern england good buddy? thanks

  • Great band...great song. Album is a classic!

  • Gracias por colgar este video. The Wild Swans es una de mis bandas favoritas y "Bible dreams" es en mi opinion, una de las mejores canciones de los 80´s.

  • THANKS FOR THE VIDEO.

    80'S RULES!

  • Brings me back to Junior year in high school.

The UK has had such underrated and unnoticed music. Makes me sad to think of all the crap that's played out on the th US stations nowadays. Like the British say, "it's all bollocks!"

  • Yeah mjb72, and unfortunately for You, there are more "country" stations in the US than all other radio stations combined, lol, "Ye haw, music to kick shit to !"

  • ALL THINGS ARE YESTERDAY NOW,, All NEW WAVERS Lets MOVE ON,and Discover Songs to this era,and Apply the GREATNESS of COMPOSING NEW WAVE SONGS,all over and over!

  • well said

  • thx for posting such a rarity.

  • He achieves stereo effect with 2 mike. The guitarist is from Star Trek. Lotus Eaters perhaps were better onl;y just though. Come to Manila very soon

  • half my record collection is full of liverpool bands from the 80s and this is good example, both care and wild swans should have been much more successfull.good music deos survive today but its no thanx to main stream radio who insist on playing so called r and b sample based semi cover versions of the shitist kind in favor of much cooler home grown 'new wave' music, shame.

  • I've also listened to The Lotus Eaters and Care. Those bands are just as lovely. Lovely being the best way to describe such old, forgotten gems that few even know about.

  • New Wave Rulez......Hot Gossip,,,,,,,,!!!!!105

  • It's funny how these english or UK songs were classified as "new wave". It only originated from us pinoys. It's good that we were able to find a word that would classify these brilliant creations by poets with guitars. The trash of R&Bs and the stupid Rap Songs have invaded the airwaves which make feel SICK. If you want to hook up with me text or call me at +639063208118.

  • grabe to mga bro, kala ko nag-iisa lng ako. napakarami pala natin.music now is rubbish konti lng yung magugustuhan mo and it never lasts like the new wave songs we had back then.new wave forever!!!!!!

  • Good news classmates! there is a new album coming out next year. it would be great also if they can make a concert here in the philippines, just like the Lotus Eaters.

  • You sure The Wild Swans are coming out with a new Album ?...thought they broke up ?...check your resources again

  • Right there with ya hajj74!!! XB102 baby!

  • actually they are music like this from these underground bands like dominion, half life half death, bad days for may, sugar hiccup etc..they are all pinoys...their music sound so ethereal as well..they use musical gadgets that sound so heavenly....

  • OH MY GOD! thank you1 youtube...i've been looking for this one.....for almost 20yrs...ohh..i can't explain what i'm feeling right now...i wish i could turn back the clock...im from philippines...lots of new wave bands long forgotten...

  • The forgotten band of manchester

  • I thought there from Liverpool?

  • Eh? They're from Liverpool! Paul worked with Ian McCullough, Ian Brodie and Julian Cope, while Jerry was one hald of The Lotus Eaters. If you want a forgotten Manchester band, look no further than The Chameleons - should have been HUGE!!!

  • Oh, my mistake.

  • i was here

  • Hey everybody look, it's the poowacket loser still posting to himself. Bwahahahahahaha

  • Basically this pyewacket001 retard is a multiple handled twat that has been spamming alternative music videos of people who've one-up'd him in the past. He's been banned from a few video threads already. He just trolls around in the hopes that someone will talk to him because he has zero friends.

  • Grandad, everything will be ok. You're in a safe place. Now keep your eyes on the pocket watch and repeat to yourself over and over again. "I WAS popular in high school, I just know it. People DID notice when I didn't show for my 20th HS reunion." Just keep repeating it like Dorothy. Now click your checkered slip ons three times and VOILA! Damn, it didn't work...your still old, bald, grey, fat, & single, discussing 80's pro wrestlers online with yourself.

PS stop hitting on me by replying.

  • dude you've got gay-z in your favs. fuck that.

  • peace0ff - your comments on this video are a fraudulent mask of the bigoted racist hatred you openly urinate onto other YT videos. You are a middle aged blathering chunk of expectorated primate bile wallowing in your dead mum's vaginal cheese. This also goes for your alter-ego neo80s and your other personalities.

  • thank you so much DJ KLYDE!!!

  • Wow.....that was so tasty. Thanks for sharing it!

  • morrissey and the smiths stole all of their sound and ideas from paul simpson when he had his band called, "CARE" in the early 80s.

they copied the sound found on tracks like,

My Boyish Days(Drink To Me), An Evening In The Ray,

A Sad Day For England, Flaming Sword, Misericorde, On The White Cloud, Whatever Possessed You, Besides.

    etc.

  • singer Paul Simpson described the band as "like a beautiful, holy, sexy, disturbing, dreamy nightmare about breaking into heaven to have sex with the angels"

  • lots of history with paul simpson from being in the teardrop explodes among other bands. he is highly respected throughout by people who were hesitant to give respect, such as, Bill Drummond(klf) and julian cope. this song is from the album, "Bringing home the Ashes".

  • cool carla had paul simpson singing her farewell song "whatever possesed" you on her afternoon timeslot. "goodbye my love..." iyak nga cya eh! {pati ako...UUU)

  • carla who? explain

  • maybe youre wondrin if she really had him sing? my mistake. shes a local dj here in the philipines. i mean "whatever possesed" u was the lst song she played on her list. and sadly, that was also the last day of DWXB-102.7fm (july 7, 1987)

  • make it july 9, 1987 rather. =)
