I dnt know if they have facilities for women here but normally women have their own praying area. The reason for the segregation is so men n women do not get disturbed whilst praying. If there were women in front off the men or vice verso the mind mite go else where. At the state of prayer there sud be no interference as your full concentration sud be on the worship of Allah.
