@Shayd93 My 1525's keyboard has absolutely no flex, due to the design of it (flat bottom of keyboard sitting on laptops mid chassis) And that's the way the Alienware keyboard should be designed. It's pretty bad when you pay that much for a laptop and the keyboard isnt even fully stable...
@Shayd93 not all keyboards have flex, some are completly built hard like my HP laptop keyboard, it has no flex whatsoever because there is no space between the bottome of the keyboard and the rest of the components therefore it does not flex.
the flex is an issue on Alienware laptops period. I just got my M17x over a week ago and if flexes a bit. As long as you dont type like a moron and press too hard on the keys, this issue is not a problem.
The flex is there because the underlying metal had a bend on it. Apparently some other users also report the same issue. Must be a QC issue while assembling.
@vzxyz it kinda looks like your pressing it softly in the after part of the video, but another way is to do it yourself by oppening up your laptop and putting something underneath the keyboard to stop the metal from bending
Well hey man, its the same weight and width " basically " as the toshiba Satelite series and Qosmio series.
also this laptop is a fucking beast, doesn't get hot.
it'll be fine on your lap and lying down with, Dw i was afraid this would be to thick and heavy compared to everyone else's laptop at school but yeah,
compared to a dell Xps or Inspiron its about the same except for weight give or take a centimeter or half a centimeter in width but yeah it'll be fine mate.
The laptop is not big or bulky but definitely heavier than most other laptops of the same size. It's about 9lbs. Your belly might be a bit sore if you keep this laptop on it for hours... :)
its not good to use any laptop on your lap or bed cuz it cuts off airflow circulation and over heats the laptop faster always use it on a hard flat surface
r u really fucking crying about a keyboard flex

I had the same problem with an Alienware M15x that I got on january 2011.
I've solved the problem with a small piece of plastic on the keyboard tag next to the down arrow key.
Still, pretty bad constrution.

was there flex on the KEYS before? because where you're touching. there isn't a key so why should that be a problem?

Hey, just curious. Would you say that this laptop is alright to use in your lap or laying down in bed with? Or is it too big and bulky?
