Nirvana and Sonic Youth dont sound anything alike. Sonic Youth is more experimental. They have all the wierd sounds and the funky tunings. They started thier own thing. Sonic youth is like Pavement and Pixies. Nirvana is grunge. Both can be considered grunge but nirvana is the true meaning of grunge. Punk rock and metal mixed with like classic rock.

I bought a Kona for xmas and I'm enrolled in a college guitar class and I take private lessons also. Hoping to learn a few songs by summer and start a band by may! Dont, wish do!
