I'm not sure what either of those cars weigh, but I'd say the Mustang has a lot more weight that than little SRT. A more fair race would be something like ZX351 Focus and the SRT. Props to the SRT though...pretty good time.

this cobra was also a convertible which adds an additional 200 lbs, plus it doesnt have the suspension setup as a hard top (which wouldnt help much anyways considering IRS is hard to hook up on a drag strip) anyways...a stock cobra runs high 12's anyways, get a different driver

My last Neon did 12.7 w/ slicks @ 112mph on a ported stock turbo. The one I'm working on now I have most of the parts lying around my living room lol~ I still need 3 or 4 things left. I live in cali so I want to stay (Or look) as close as stock as possible. The setup I have will put me around 390 whp w/ 450ish tq. Basiclly the same as my last just a larger compressor wheel.

W/ slicks your car could break into 12's easy~ you'd be surprised! Portwork is the way to go!

Sounds like you've got quite the mod list brewing up. I couldn't imagine how a blown rwd would handle going down the track~ sqwirly I'd bet. FWD is pretty easy going down the track- its just feathering the throttle to where you grab traction in the launch thats the hard part. Light weight has its downfalls. You have a video of yours up?

There was a 2001 Cobra model, it was basicly the same as the 99 Cobra with the HP issues worked out and different spoiler. I think perhaps you ment to say no 2000 Cobra model, only the Cobra R was built in 2000. Also no Cobra model for 2002. Production began again in 2003 with the Cobra getting a iron block Easton supercharged 4.6L
