The M stands for Mike (really, I'm not bullshitting here), Norio Wakamoto is the voice actor playing him in Capcom vs SNK series and the mumbling he utters after winning is "Shio kuru te yaru" which roughly means "I'll grant you death"

And as MightyKombat knows, Norio Wakamoto is also the current voice actor of Rugal, much to his despise.

It's "MIke" because in the Japanese version, M. Bison is the boxer from SFII, and he's obviously modeled on Mike Tyson.

Well, I think I got a couple of 1s. I don't know how the ratings average works, but I had a Street Fighter video that had 5 stars by the 6th rating and dive to 3 1/2 by the 10th.

They call him Vega in Japan becuase that was his original name. The Americans warned Capcom upon US release that 1) Vega sounded wimpy 2) M. Tyson would sue over Balrog (originally M.Bison) and their likeness. So, Vega (main villain) became Bison, Bison (boxer) became Balrog and Balrog (noble/assassin) became Vega. Video and SF A3 Bison ftw.
