Eh, I am 14 and I started with a 10 gal. tank. But I guess I did cause I couldn't afford a big one, but then at a garage sale I bought a 55 gal. with a filter and heater for 25$ so I am glad that I got that.

Okay this video is bull. No aquarist would recommend a 10 gal. tank for a beginner, no book or even amateur would recommend that.

Kudos for recommending the Bacteria cultures that people don't realize but what stood out, he didn't rinse the Gravel first...wtf !?

your right you don't even need to wait 2 to 3 weeks for the beneficial bacteria to accumulate in your tank I had my tank up and running for three days and put my Oscars in and there fine and my tank looks beautiful.

why not recomend 10gal? 10 is perfect for a beginner it teaches them not to kill their fish. bowls are horrible, gravel does no need to be rinsed actually, the sediment can be added, then water added safely, gravel does not accumulate yunhealthy amounts of particulate dust

ohh...well i dont have plants only fake ones and i have 1 pleco and istill use the filter that hangs on the back of the tank and i use u.g.f. but in order to clean it yu have to drain all the water out the tank which sucks

Aging a tank (according to him) sure takes a long time. I've never aged a tank that long. I usually put them in after about a day or so with their aged water from the aquarium i buy them from. My tanks do great.
