  • im going to try this..how do you shred the old clothing/ material into to rag rug making? Cause I have two kids and tons of old clothing..anxious about making things for my home that has wonderful memories distilled into them :)

  • @CrysalisHooper i made a video on preparing old sheets to use as material. might be helpful :) i'm afraid i don't know the proper etiquette for sharing, and am afraid that it might be considered spam to post a link here. hopefully if you click on my name, you can see the video on preparing flat and fitted sheets. have fun! they are addicting lol

  • That's for the video... I've been having problems on my curves... that helps me alot...

  • Do you have a video from the beginning?

  • Cool

  • Hello. In my opinion - you can work it out. It will need the thickness of the material and see if the hook is too small? change it to a bigger hook. You just have to work it out really yourself, Everything depans on the material. If it is thick - use a thick needles. If you think it is too loose?? you know - you will have to change the hook. It just like with knitting. Have a go and see how it will work out for you. Happy rug making to you all.

  • I have watched so many tutorials on rag rugs and thank you to people that take the time to post them BUT I have also seen so many comments from people asking about needles size and not one person has ever answered. How come people put these vids on and then forget about them? I would also like to know what is the needle size is.

  • @paintempink I believe she is using a sz. P crochet hook...mine is grey

  • do you have a pattern for the oval rugs? and what size needle is that?

  • How can you tell when you will need another step? Do you do it like every 10 times or so?

  • Thank you for posting this Vid. . I am almost ready to begin. Your fabric looks real smooth. Do you iron it? Is it about 1 inch wide? I just finished a toothbrush rag rug and it took way too long. I'm ready to make one like yours, even though I have never crocheted anything in my life.Just bought two crochet needles today.

    Thanks.....

  • Easy to see your hands! Thanks
